Other: Yes, Splashfire is teaching a blind cat how to be a warrior. Got a problem with that? No? Good. Late night training sessions really help Splashfire learn what it’s like for her apprentice, as well as improve her own skills. It’s hard, but a win-win for the both of them. You don’t need to see a cat to hear them coming - Lilypaw can detect prey and other cats from a much farther distance than normal. Not running into things is harder, which is why Splashfire is focusing on honing her reflexes. If she can dodge as soon as she feels an obstacle on her whiskers, she can get around just fine.
Also, the reason Driftstar let a cat this young take on a challenge of this magnitude? Splashfire insisted, and no other cat would take Lilypaw. And since there was a warrior willing to mentor her, well. Driftstar didn’t really have much of a choice - especially since both of the medicine cat positions were already taken.
