Trivia
  • John likes to hide in the cupboards so a cupboard was reserved just for him and decorated to his liking with a sign saying "Do not disturb —John's cupboard"
  • He may be small now, but John gradually grew up to be quite big that is typical to most lion-hybrids. He now towers over many people.
  • A. N. : I tend to mess around with his proportions a lot so his form is pretty inconsistent and indefinite but it's intentional. I like to exaggerate how 'baby' he is hehe.
  • John was always quite troublesome when in the care of a babysitter. Seemingly vanishing into thin air when you're not looking most especially if it's his bath time, knocking anything off the counters and tables, and just being a headache to them in general.
  • John really loves headpats and cuddles. He will try to get your attention from whatever you're doing so you can pet him like the attention seeker he is.
  • John has also hid in closets, curling up inside and kneading the clothes while being in there.
  • John's very light so he's easy to lift and carry around when needed.
  • John is only well-behaved around certain persons. The sudden personality change would throw people off when he becomes very affectionate and docile around his favorite people.
  • John when he grew up, works as a coach of a professional basketball team and adopted a little caracal-hybrid from the same system that he was born in whom he raised along with his boyfriend, Dale.
  • Even though he's quite talented in his choice of sports, he didn't want to become a professional athlete and chose to coach others instead.
  • He sees sports as an enjoyment rather than something to take seriously on for his future. He already lived those days during his highschool years with his team. Out of all the teammates he's close with, only one of them became a professional athlete.
About
YES!!! VIOLENCE!!!

John is a little lion-hybrid who loves every bit of attention he could get from the people around him. He could be your most precious little companion or the biggest nuisance to your life if he so desires. Very unpredictable at times. He's known to disappear without a trace if you look away for even just a few seconds (but only to people he wants to annoy). Though, he's very affectionate to his favorite persons and would nuzzle and cling to them like a typical cat would do. His behavior is similar to those of felines so yes, he nuzzles, purrs, kneads, squeezes through small spaces, etc. John seems to have a desire for stirring up trouble but can also make himself useful by helping with chores, most especially cleaning (a habit picked up from being raised in the master-servant system and from being poor). He's also very athletic, participating in his favorite sports which are basketball and tennis. He doesn't let his small stature get in the way of playing sports and has been a major advantage in being the bane of someone's existence. Oddly, he honed that athletic ability from getting chased by security caused by Dale's antics. John grew up in a different province after fleeing from his home region with his mother, then settled with his now-boyfriend, Dale when they crossed paths again and reunited.

Story

John was born in a region where the system takes away children from poor families to be adopted by richer, more financially stable families as servants. The system was established to address the poverty in the region by making the children serve their masters in exchange of being provided with their necessities by the wealthier family. The children that have been snatched away will be sent to an institution that will look after them while they wait for days, possibly years or even never for a family to adopt them. It was due to this system that the families in poverty will hide their children from officers in hopes that they won't be snatched away and stripped of their freedom. John was one of those children. He lived in hiding with his mother who worked hard to provide for her only beloved child. As for the whereabouts of his father, they are unknown. Despite their living conditions, he loves his mom very much and is content with their lives as long as they have food on the table, refusing to separate from his only family. Unfortunately, the time came when the officers caught him and snatched him away from his mother's arms. Both mother and child were helpless against the system so they couldn't do anything but lament their separation. John had been in the institution for a long time. Because of his small, weak frame, no family ever wanted to adopt him, finding him useless. The other children would try to harass him and steal his ration of food but he was able to outrun them thanks to his speed and athletic ability. Eventually, a child his age went into the institution to look around for a servant, as it is required by the system for well-off families to do so, and found him. Dale, the name of the child and his new master, along with Dale's mother agreed to adopt him and was also kind enough to reunite John with his mother. Their masters brought the two to their home, and they've been helping around their masters' household ever since as a way to repay for their kindness. Despite adopting John as a servant, Dale sees him as a 'friend', removing the heavy chained collar that was bound around John's neck and replacing it with a more comfortable, blue collar (it is required by the system for servants to wear them) as a testament to their new friendship.

•Second part TBA• (Rewriting John's backstory since I feel like John deserves a better conclusion... It didn't feel right to leave it at that, also it's kind of a mess)

Relationships
Dale | Ex-master • Boyfriend

Even though John was adopted to be his servant, Dale established that they were to see each other as a friend and as an equal. He went into that institution for the sole reason that he wanted a friend. John felt lucky that it was Dale that adopted him instead of other potentially abusive masters and was extremely grateful for it. They've grown really close together sharing similar goals in mind, and that is causing mischief wherever they go. What they had never come to expect is that their partner-in-crime would be their partner for life. John fell in love first when he came of age while Dale realized his feelings for him only later on.

John is the clingy one in the relationship to no one's surprise. Their favorite thing to do is snuggle up on the couch after a hard day of work. Their ideal date is going to the nearest convenience store and mix every flavor of slushie the store has in one drink and share it together, while pocketing a snack or two. Mall dates are also their preferred way to spend their time together.
