She was raised by the Nidoranknights, a clan of Nidoran that had been raised by strict and restricting guidelines by their monarchs. Juliet was unhappy with the uninformed and sexist behavior of the Nknights, but believed at first that she couldn’t escape the place she was born to. Furthermore, she faced the possibility of being married off the Nidoranknights’ prince, as her father was a noble and close friend of the king. However, Juliet stumbled upon a mythical library overlooked by the Xatu Avila. Avila taught her how to read, something unthinkable to the Nknights, and eventually encouraged her to leave the Nknights to make her own destiny. She met up with Voltrain, who helped her to Goldenrod, and eventually agreed to travel with him.

Juliet can read, which is a rarity among wild Pokemon and completely unheard of within the Nidoranknights, and her love for reading and learning is a big part of her personality. Despite her inexperience she's actually surprisingly good in battle, perhaps due to her adaptability and quick thinking; she's great at planning and strategy.

However, Juliet overthinks all the time, to the point of intense anxiety; this can have bad repurcussions not only on her mental health but on how she views others. Although she tries to be accepting, she has a tendency to be overly judgmental due to her cynicism. She doesn't do well socially; she's nervous and introverted. She's very stubborn, especially in an argument, and she tends to get frustrated too easily.

Juliet has a Serious nature. She's introverted and a bit anti-social, and often prefers to keep to herself. She's not fond of social events; she'd much rather stay home and read. Juliet is highly intelligent and opinionated, and she can occasionally be judgmental to a fault due to both cynicism and stubbornness. She has a bit of a problem with considering herself "not like other girls," but she's working on unlearning that. She wants to see good in the world, and tries to, but it's difficult for her at times. She's calm, collected, and perpetually annoyed.

Juliet is stocky as Nidorina are prone to be. She's somewhat fuzzy, and her spines are generally lowered to avoid injury to others. She wears a purple bow on her left ear and a bracelet with her Eviolite on the opposite arm.
