Sulfuraria

Sulfuraria is a Ventwing, a fantribe by turtleyamazing on Deviantart (turtleyamazing - Hobbyist, General Artist | DeviantArt).

As a young dragonet, Aria lived on the outskirts of the Ventwing kingdom with her family.  Because she grew up further away from the center of Ventwing society, she didn't interact much with others aside from her family.  She was very shy and did not have much confidence in herself.  She had trouble learning various things such as hunting, so she largely depended on her family for things like that.  

This all changed though when there was a lull in geothermal conditions, which caused the tribe to go into hibernation.  Due to being the only one in her family under ten, Aria was left alone.  She struggled at first, panicking that she wouldn't survive.  However, her instincts kicked in quickly and she started hunting better than she ever had before.  This realization that she could do things by herself without the help of her family gave her a boost of self-confidence.  She started exploring other parts of the kingdom and meeting other Ventwings her age, including one named Quakes.  Quakes, because of his outgoing and quirky nature, also helped Aria come out of her shell even more and they became good friends.  Aria remained with her new friends until she turned ten and was able to go into hibernation.  

After coming out of hibernation many years later, her family was pleasantly surprised by Aria's much more confident personality.  She still liked to keep to herself sometimes, but she also loved going out with her friends (especially Quakes).  Aria and Quakes attended various Ventwing events together such as debates, plays, and concerts.  Aria especially loved philosophical debates, which inspired her to study philosophy.  She eventually became a philosophy teacher and started participating in the debates she loved so much.
