Gives a small wave

"You think yourself immune to my enchantments, and yet you find yourself drawn to me regardless." The serpent smiled, though her frigid gaze did not echo the sentiment.

"To be truthful, I find your presence amusing—but I have not forgotten your insult. Have you since learned from your mistake, or need I educate you further?" She approached, a platinum wave through the empty space between them.

"Your posturing and threats are an exercise in futility. Either you respect me and deepen your knowledge in your craft—or rebuke me, and forever lament your ignorance. The choice is yours."

He lifts his attention to her approach, raising an eyebrow. "Oh? You're hurt by my remark, then? I didn't take you to be someone of such sensitive nature." Whether she was hurt or not, he internally stamps her feelings as such and therefore, disregards them. His posture adjusts and he stands taller. Her company called for his focus, especially if she was angered. Even someone as self absorbed as himself could see she was dangerous if she wanted to be.

"You have my respect, though it only runs so far, you see. Is that an issue to you?~"

"Lament, then—for I do not deal in half measures."

The serpent's presence retreats, the space she had occupied feeling distinctly vacant, as if something precious had been snatched away.

"When fate deigns we meet again, I will ask you the same question, necromancer."
