I assume so - tbh I thought very little about the mechanism. I just mentally saw her being jettisoned off a ship, falling towards the planet, and boom. Then contaminated air particles drifting invisibly down the wreck the shit of that planet. Lotta NOTEC got emotions/infected that day @_@
