Kai

was once a proud member of the Va'kohaua tribe but it was obliterated by settlers - everything was burned and all members killed or taken prisoner. Kai only escaped because he was away on a hunting trip at the time- the ashen rubble he returned to was enough to spark his passionate hatred for nearly all settlers- though with time it has faded to a lingering distrust. Upon the destruction of his tribe, he gave up all titles beyond his first name. The beads in his hair are items once belonging to his fellow tribesmen. He now works as a peddler, selling fabrics and jewelry that are reminiscent of his people's style to share the wonders of his tribe and keep their craft from vanishing for good.
