02 — Personality
Ikato has the most lawful alignment possible. Rules are very important to him and so is upholding the law, which is one reason he wants to be a hero. His lineage and family tradition are also important to him. He wants to work at the hero agency operated by his aunt and uncle. Ikato loves to read and learned to read at three. He's very intelligent and never stops thinking.
Ikato loves to solve problems and keep people safe. In primary school, when most kids were getting their talents, Ikato never practiced without permission. Ikato follows rules, but still enjoys the safe freedom inside the rules. He had a hard time keeping friends because he is unwilling to break rules on moral principle. He likes to think about morailty and contemplate the nature of life. He's ambiverted and enjoys quiet alone time as much as leading the class.
In school, Ikato is the class representative, which is like the vice president. He's probably going to be a TA in his 4th or 5th year. He helps Mr Shizuka keep order in the class by blocking talents whenever necessary especially with Jinsoku and Rocky among other disruptive clasmates. Despite being very orderly, Ikato isn't mean at all. he's the opposite of Jiao who's absolutely ruthless. But Ikato is also pretty funny unintentionally, because of the way he acts. He loves to share facts and tries to get his classmates to savor the joy of learning.

03 — Background
Ikato is the youngest of three Nuru kids. All three of his siblings went to and graduated from SHI. His oldest brother graduated hero track and is now in the miliary, while his older twin brother and sister went to work at their family hero agency. His mother practices hero and police law and his dad is a retired hero. His paternal grandparents were also heroes that met on the job. Hero work is in his blood.
He got into the hero program at Saichi Hero Institute and continued the family tradition. His oldest brother is actually the one that introduced academic field day to SHI. He has a good relationship with his teacher, mostly because his rule oriented personality makes Mr Shizuka's job easier. Ikato's very much the teacher's pet. Most of the time Ikato and Hana (the TA) are running the class while Mr Shizuka sleeps under his desk.
Ikato's family doesn't have particularly strong talents and Nuru is the exception. While most of his family has speed based augmentation talents or small scale elemental talents, Ikato has the A tier power of Nullification. Usually people with this talent type work as teachers or bodyguards because of teh need for talent nullifiers. But Ikato's doble talent of Nullify and Agility make him very fast and incredible useful.
Even when outmatched, Ikato can level the playing field. Like the rest of the Nuru heroes, Ikato relies heavily on support gear for combat. His signature weapon is a wire whip which his enchanced agility aloows him to pull of great acrobatic feats with. This wire can also be used for disarming, capture, and slicing. Ikato has scars all up his hands and arms from learning to use it.
Ikato's abilities combined with his sense of justice and desire for order makes him an incorruptible force of good.

Ikato has lots of backup pairs of glasses. His second pair have black frames.

Ikato has incredibly high intelligence and likes to play chess.

Ikato's quiet intellect has been compared to Sherlock Holmes, and Ikato rather likes the comparison but notes that he doesn't possess Shelock's obessive and addictive behaviors.

Ikato has exceptional hearing and can hear 360 degrees around him. His hearing might be an oversensitivity or possibly a part of his talent.
05 — Relationships
Class president
Jiao and Ikato are Class president and class rep respectively. They work together in a purely professional way; Jiao 'delegates' most of the work to him and lets his good work rub off on her popularity.
Ikato not so secretly dislikes Jiao for not taking her position very seriously and bribing/ threatening people into voting for her. He scolds her constantly and strongly encourages her to take responsibilities and own her position. She doesn't listen of course so poor Ikato has more than his fair share of work.
