Elaine

Elaine always has a spring in her step, but that does not mean she should be underestimated.

Elaine is a high-ranking follower of a Forge cult, and her principles are Heart and Edge- she's joyful, outgoing and determined, but could absolutely kill a man if cornered or otherwise prompted. Her appearance fits this, a curly-haired, freckled and pear-shaped woman with glimmering eyes...and a brutal assortment of scars across her body from her more violent endeavors, mostly hidden under her clothes.

Earlier on in her occult career, a failed summoning ritual by her order's leader brought an enraged, violent Percussigant into the world; a being itself of Heart and Edge, a dancing, whirling tornado of black shaggy fur and claws like a bear. Many members of the cult were injured, Elaine included, but when the beast cornered her, something burst to the surface and she, too, flew into a frenzy of violence. Their battle was long and almost elegant in the pair's rhythmic coordination; one might call it beautiful if they weren't panicked by the sight of blood spilled. In the end she prevailed, driving her blade into the Percussigant's core and ripping it apart with every bit of strength she had.

That same Percussigant soon became a sort of trophy of both her power and her joyous energy; she wears a tailcoat fashioned from its pelt, and her weapon of choice is a pair of clawed knuckles made from its sharp talons. Its ceaseless Heart-energy is so potent even still that one running a hand through its fur might feel a faint pulse, and when worn, its claws twitch and tap rhythmically as though to some unheard song.
