Profile

An eccentric character who defines their point of origin as just being the vague "East" (no matter where, longitudinally, they're asked this question).  In reality, they're a near-immortal being that can sense and feed off the emotions of others, though they aren't going to just TELL people that.  It's a passive process that's undetectable by the individuals they interact with, so why disclose it?  Most folks take it as an invasion of privacy...and in some ways it is.  If they get serious, they can actively manipulate or drain others' emotions as well, but they aren't usually pushed to such extremes, finding it to be vile behavior that's beneath them.  The base emotional sustenance serves them just fine; it's this constant stream that's kept them alive for so many years.

In earlier times, they were wild and calculating, but as the centuries passed, they've settled down a bit.  So many years wandering and encountering people in the world (and worlds beyond), and you really get tired of being monstrous.  So instead they enjoy appearing as some sort of airheaded, quirky traveler, rolling into town to charm others with their stories and their company, and just like that, they're gone as soon as they came.  They seem to have some sort of spatial, arcane magic, as they can "appear" their two familiars and objects at will.  They're nocturnal and can even shapeshift; they have a tattoo-like marking on their back that can change into wings if needed, and can also grow long claws.  They don't comment about other things they can potentially do with these abilities.  Certainly seems demonic...but they do seem genuine in not wanting to commit any harm.  At least, not intentionally.

A roleplay character, and thus can work in a variety of settings as long as there's room for a powerful-but-weird immortal.  The true nature of their abilities can change to fit the narrative.  In species-agnostic settings, they could have history with Carmine (mostly like an ex Ecclesiastes is trying to avoid), or Eidolon (who is an older sibling trying to avoid Ecclesiastes, this time).
