A very meek and timid individual, Serenity has been described by her friend group as a walking doormat. Serenity has always been studious, with a fear of failure installed by her parents. She's obedient, afraid to step out of line.
She cares for her sister, more than their parents did, and was the one who helped Mel heal her back wounds. She would do anything for her sister, even if it meant sacrificing herself.
- Break The Cutie The pressure she was put under as the heir to a wealthy company and the reputation she was to maintain would realistically break anyone.
- Although she is studious to a fault, she finds herself getting lost in fantasy novels for hours on end, which takes her away from her studying. She finds a haven in the fantasy world that is away from the oppressive environment her parents have set up.
- She finds herself completely disinterested with her parent's line of work; not necessarily hate, just a lack of care for it. However, her fear of stepping out of line forces her to act like taking over the company is the dream she's had from birth.
- She has a single brown eye contact from when she would switch places with Melody. Now that Melody moved out though, it just sort of sits on her bedroom dresser sadly as a sort of monument and reminder.
- Melody was the one to convince her to dye the blue streaks into her hair. Mel said that if there was one act of rebellion she could do to convince herself she was her own person, it would be dying her hair.
Her parents are the heads of a really wealthy company. They wanted their children to become their successors.
Serenity was the only legitimate child out of the two and thus was given the most preferential treatment. Melody was born the illegitimate daughter of her mother and one of the servants, one year after Serenity was born. Still, she and her sister still have similar appearances, just with slight differences (Serenity’s freckles and heterochromia).
While Mel grew up in the kitchens, Serenity moved around the mansion without much resistance. Their parents tried to keep her away from Melody, but the girls always found a way to get together.
Melody's room was underneath Serenity’s, and the girls took advantage of that by building a dumbwaiter in the hollow walls.
The servants helped them, and the dumbwaiter was built with extra room for the girls to grow into. Mel’s door was hidden behind a portrait, while Serenity’s door was hidden in the wallpaper. Serenity was the one who stayed up with Mel to heal the scars she received from her father, and would even share the same bed when Melody was having night terrors.
Mel and Serenity would frequently switch places. Serenity was raised to behave like a proper lady, but she sucked at socializing. So Mel would take her place, and Serenity would do Mel’s chores for her. Somehow their parents never found out, while the servants knew, but kept it hidden.
