Personality:
Yoko tends to feel a bit awkward in new settings or around people she doesn't know. The way she carries herself gives other's the impression that she feels she is above them, but really she just lacks trust and doesn't know how to reach out to people.

Due to how others treated her, she developed a thick skin. Though she is unbothered by others and how they treat her, but overtime, the cracks start to show and she reveals she has her limits. While she appears tough on a surface level, Yoko feels rather insecure. She feels like she’s only seen as a “piggy bank”, and only “worthy” when she brings in riches for others. It’s easy to doubt people see her beyond her quirk. 

In time, she learns to to stand up for herself more as well as open herself up to others and learn to trust them.

Quirk: Gem Formation: Yoko can create gems and form them into a variety of shapes, typically weapons or shields when in combat. The longer she takes to form something, the sturdier it is. However, if she forms too many gems in a short period of time, the formations will crack and break.

As she hones her skills, she is able to create gems and form them in quality and quantity. Improving speed is important for her, but she always has to be mindful she doesn't run out of materials; they grow back in time, but it can put her in a difficult position while in combat. There is also a chance her gems will overheat and fade, so she's cautious when it comes to sunlight, even if it also has it's advantages.

Family

Parents: They were "proud" to have a daughter that was such a "gem", and would use her to make their fortune. Her father was bitter toward Yoko for having a better quirk than his despite how useful it is, and her mother can only see money and not her daughter for who she is.

Eijiro Kirishima: 

Shouto Todoroki: Initially, Yoko tried to make connections with Shouto, her parents forcing her to because of his family background. It proved to be very difficult at first, as he was aloof and preferred to keep to himself. In time, he became more sociable and kind, and Yoko could appreciate his sense of humor- the two were both a bit awkward, after all, so she was relieved she wasn't alone. 

Momo Yaoyorozu: Initially, Yoko tried to make connections with Momo, her parents forcing her to because of her family background. However, the two have genuinely became friends, and Yoko is grateful to have someone like Momo in her life. Momo is rather cute when she's "bouncy" and eager to help the other students, and Yoko finds it very endearing. The two can relate in lifestyles in comparison to the other students, both sometimes not quite realizing the huge difference. 

Shouta Aizawa: When Toshinori and Aizawa went to ask parents for their permission to have students move into the U.A. dorms, the Miyabis said Yoko could live in the dorms on one condition- that she return home for haircuts, something that confused both teachers.  They didn’t realize the parents only cared for their daughter’s quirk for money, and not for her safety- and it didn’t take long for Aizawa to realize what was going on. He later sat down and talked to Yoko, and she was honest with him about her family situation. He respected her current decision, and told her that there are other adults who are on her side.  In a way, he was her hero. After he had talked to her about there being other adults on her side, Yoko accidentally called Aizawa “dad”- in front of everyone. She's not sure she'll ever live down the embarrassment, but Aizawa didn't seem too bothered. 

Love Interest

Rika Shimizu: Rika developed a crush on Yoko, though was reserved on acting upon it. She had witnessed Yoko turn down suitors, and knew she had never been with anyone.

STORY
Yoko had a rough childhood with those around her just wanting to use her for the riches her quirk could bring. Her parents came to see her as more of a paycheck rather than a child, and kept her close to home. Her parents were constantly fearful of others wanting to steal their source of income to the extent Yoko was tutored at home and not allowed to socialize with others unless her parents were present.  Prior to coming to U.A., Yoko was extremely lonely and admittedly a little fearful of the outside world.  With the high marks her parents had forced her to achieve, as they expected her to be the best at everything as not to tarnish them, she was easily able to apply and prove herself during the entrance exams.  Her parents' plans backfired- her training in combat (which was given in order so others don't steal her gems) gave her the skills to want to become a pro hero and escape out from under her parents' thumb. 

While it takes her some time to adjust to life at U.A., she has made quite a few close friends and continues to distance herself form the parents with the help of friends, teachers, and eventually moving into the dorms. She continues to try and learn more about herself while honing her skills both as a hero and with friendships and social situations.  

Yoko’s UA dorm is pretty extravagant, but not as cramped as Momo's since she tried to be a bit more conservative. She has a jewel studded headboard for her canopy bed, as well as jewel studded curtains, diamond shaped accent pillows, and plush throw blankets. She also has a small couch with a jewel embedded coffee table for sitting, a reasonable sized TV, a laptop with a holo keyboard cover that glimmers, beautiful jewelry displays, and gem/geode terrariums she made herself.
