Sakura was born with the rare trait of having pink scales along his more normal brown, though even that is an abnormal shade. That’s why his parents decided to name him after the cherry trees he so resembled rather than the more traditional PoisonWing names. He doesn’t have leafspeak, but is honestly rather glad of it. He’s seen how some of them are treated like valuable living weapons, and even though he was born a PoisonWing he honestly disagreed with their crusade of vengeance. Sakura eventually defected to the SapWings, though he had a bit of trouble finding them at first. In the end, it was a sympathetic SapWing who showed him the way to their home. After all, they’re hidden for a dang good reason, and hidden well at that. They know full well what Queen Wasp’s response would be if she learned of their existence, and they have no desire to be mercilessly wiped out, from the youngest dragonet to the oldest elder.
