Tetri Dansing

Tetri is the second Dansing sibling. He's serious and inclined to strategy, and if you don't know him well his intense demeanor can be scary. Actually, it is even if you do know him. He's a prodigal military leader, having bested all those beneath him in a sword duel. His main weakness is that he is actually somewhat physically weak, making up for it with his ability to basically predict the actions of others as well as pure technical skill. He's also, uh, 5'1".

He receives a lot of public criticism for that weakness, along with claims that he is vain and arrogant. This only bothers him when people try to argue that it makes him unfit to lead an army. He is aware of his physical detriments, but he believes the other two accusations are untrue. The time people think he spends on his appearances are actually for the sake of a flower implanted in his skin that keeps an incurable illness at bay (and it's not his fault he's naturally pretty), and he thinks arrogance is only a problem if you don't have the bite to match your bark. Most people who work directly with him understand that he is more than competent at his role. This does not mean they like him. He is scary to be around.

The flower, placed to look like its tucked behind his right ear, is at least partly responsible for his lack of strength. His older sibling left home when Tetri was 9. A few years later the illness he'd had since birth started to get worse, so he went abroad to look for alternative cures. He managed to find his sibling and told them why he was there. His sibling had recently been looking into the restorative powers of plants grown under the skin, and after sufficient pleading on Tetri's part, figured out how best to do it to help with Tetri's symptoms. They warned that this technique was normally for emotional and spiritual needs, so this was technically an experiment, and that prolonged use would eventually have it's own detriments. Tetri did not care, convinced that the later stages of the illness would be worse than whatever might happen with this.

Tetri next saw his sibling over a year later, when he predicted they'd be in the same area at the same time. Something seemed horribly wrong with them now, and they confessed to having revived the dead using only the power of the stars. This was deeply against what their family considered to be proper use of astrology, and was generally illegal. Tetri, being Lawful Lawful 99% of the time and also like, a general at 14, got freaked out by this and basically snitched to their parents to get them excommunicated. 

Tetri still wears the flower, 15 years later, but represses any mixed feelings towards the sibling so as to hate them more easily. Melas was born shortly after the sibling first departed, and Tetri refuses to tell them about them.
