Michelle

[ Mother ] Michelle is a Pokemon who loves her family dearly, forgives easily, but forgets little. Anyone foolish enough to go after her family, trainers included, soon learns the error of their ways. While Michelle struggled with gardening initially, she has improved in leaps and bounds over the years, and happily nurtures the berry bushes in the family garden that serves as both a source of food and medical remedies. Like her husband, she used to be a captive pokemon, but left when her trainer passed away from old age instead of being passed down to a family member. This means there's an empty pokeball with her name on it somewhere in the Unova region.

Michelle has a gentle nature, and loves bitter foods. Sour flavors, on the other hand, aren't really for her.

Duke

[ Father ] Duke used to be a captive pokemon, but escaped from his battle-obssesed, abusive trainer by destroying his pokeball and fleeing. He found his calling in the noble art of healing, but the healer's creed of "Do no harm" comes with a catch: a healer intimately knows the body and how to fix it, but what people often don't realize is that that means they know intimately where to BREAK it. And Duke will make you regret all your life decisions should you threaten his wife or kits. Duke runs a little clinic near his family's den in the forest, where all kinds of Pokemon come if they need treatment. They're all more than aware of the rules: no fighting in the clinic, be respectful, and touch his family and die.

Duke has a sassy nature, and enjoys bitter foods. Sweet things, on the other hand, aren't for him - especially chocolate. He hates chocolate. Being outside in nature is paradise for him; city or captive pokemon life just isn't for him.

Lumi

[ Twin Sister ] Born from a twin egg, Kahjah and Lumi have been inseperable since the moment they entered the world together. Unfortunately, life has taken them down seperate paths, as it is wont to do. Like her father, she too runs a clinic, though its in the nearby city rather than out in the forest where she grew up. By no means is she a captive pokemon, nor does she have any desire to be, but that doesn't stop her or other wild pokemon from enjoying city life. Lumi enjoys reading and experimenting with different styles of art, such as oil painting, watercolors, and on one memorable occassion, wood burning.

Lumi has a quiet nature, and enjoys dry foods. She can't tolerate a lot of sweet things at once, and absolutely despises chocolate. Like father, like daughter.

Ressananne

[ Younger Sister ] The middle sibling, and the one who took the longest to evolve out of the four. Even so, Ressananne took to being a Sylveon like a Golduck to water. Her relationship with her family was strained for a while during her teenage years, and she actually ran away to become a captive pokemon. It turned out for the best though, as she's found her calling performing on stage in contests. Whenever her trainer performs in one of the contest halls nearby the forest where she grew up, her family will carefully sneak into the venue to watch and support her. She also had an egg with one of her trainer's pokemon, one that hatched into a male Eevee. Her family - captive and wild pokemon both - were more than eager to welcome the little one into the family.

Ressananne has a Rash nature, and hates bitter flavors. Dry things are more to her taste.

Tien-Yoh

[ Younger Brother ] The youngest one to hatch, the lone brother of the group, and also the one who happened to hatch shiny. Needless to say, Tien-yoh sticks out like a sore thumb no matter which way you look at it. Like Lumi, he's moved out into the city, where he lives with several other strays. Tien-Yoh is a clever Pokemon who enjoys gaming and DnD, which he was introduced to after he moved out. He's really careful, though - the last thing he wants is to be captured and dragged off who-knows-where just because of the fact that he's a shiny pokemon. Tien-Yoh's perfectly happy with his life as it is; why would he want to change that? In fact, he intentionally stole a pokeball and captured himself in it in order to prevent exactly that. That pokeball is stored back in his childhood home, hidden away safe with his parents.

Tien-Yoh has a naughty nature, and as such enjoys spicy foods, the hotter the better. Bitter things, though? Yeah, his parents can help themselves to that.

Golduck

[ Best Friend ] Golduck has been Kahjah's friend ever since the pair were little, and there's nothing more he loves doing than sunbathing or exploring mystery dungeons - something both Kahjah and Cinderace are more than willing to do. He's a bit more cautious and cynical than Kahjah, and not nearly as reckless as Cinderace, but that doesn't stop him from wanting to do his best to help either, even if it means putting himself in danger. Golduck and Kahjah will often swim together, while Cinderace either watches from the sidelines or only gets in ankle-deep. The pair aren't cruel enough to splash him; they know how it is with fire types and water. It would be like jabbing a water type with a tiny shocker. Not Okay.

Cinderace

[ Best Friend ] The third member of the adventuring trio, Cinderace met Kahjah and Golduck early on in their exploration 'careers', while they were poking around Origin Cave. All three of them were only in their first evolutionary stages at the time, and Kahjah and Golduck came across the then-Scorbunny surrounded by five Excadrill, fists up and ready to fight for his life. Naturally, the pair jumped in, and somewhere in the middle of the brawl the Excadrill decided this was more trouble than it was worth and fled deeper into the mystery dungeon. As for the trio, well, there are just some situations you can't go through without being friends afterward, and this was one of them.

N

[ Friend ] Kahjah first met N when a terrible battle left her with both hind legs broken. She'd dragged herself into the closest shelter she could find, which was under a fallen tree. N found her there, unconcious, and took her back to the nearby abandoned castle where he and his sisters lived, and together they nursed her back to health. She recovered just fine, much to their delight, and from then on often visited. Kahjah actually ran into him by sheer coincidence when she was poking around the underground labyrinth beneath the White Ruins, and ran into N, Ash, and Ash's Pikachu down there. She was initially shocked, but upon hearing about what happened decided to tag along and showed them the way back out of the maze.

She fought in the battle to free the pokemon Ghetsis and Colress had mind-controlled with their machine, standing up even to Reshiram in all its rage. After the pokemon had been freed and the two lunatics arrested, Kahjah parted ways with the group to resume her exploration of the White Ruins.

Zorua

[ Adventuring Buddy ] N's faithful companion, who's been with him since they both were small. He and Kahjah both share an adventurous streak, and have gotten themselves into multiple misadventures along the way.

Zorua has a hasty nature, and so shares a sweet tooth with Kahjah, though its sour foods he dislikes. Give him a lemon and he'll punt it into the middle distance. No, seriously. Cracks N up every time.

Ghestis

[ Enemy ] While she'd heard about Ghetsis from N and his sisters before, seeing him in person proved that if anything, they were understating how terrible the man was. She was more than happy to see him arrested after the battle to free the pokemon he and Colress were mind-controlling with their machine was done. And to make her ire about the whole situation known, Kahjah trotted over and peed on the handcuffed Ghetsis out of spite, much to everyone's (aside from Ghetsis's) amusement.

Ash Ketchum

[ Friend ] Kahjah first met Ash by sheer coincidence while exploring the underground maze of the White Ruins. Deciding to tag along with the group after hearing about the situation they were in, Kahjah showed them the way back out. She managed to dodge getting hit by the mind-control beams, and fought against even Reshiram in order to free the pokemon Ghetsis and Colress were controlling. After the battle ended and Reshiram left, Kahjah parted ways with the group to continue her exploration of the White Ruins.

Ash's Pikachu

[ Friend ] Kahjah and Pikachu hit it off pretty well while beneath the White Ruins, and swapped various tips and tricks they'd picked up about battling and the manipulation of electricity. Kahjah was sad to see her new friend go when the dust settled and it was time for them to leave the ruins, but knew they'd meet again - even if she had to travel all the way to Kanto to do it.

Which, by the way, she did do, only to find out once she got to Pallet Town that the guy had gone to Kalos of all places instead. Cue an awful moan; hitching rides across countries is not easy dangit!

Colress

[ Friend ] The first time Kahjah met Colress, it was during the whole mind-controlling-Reshiram incident. To say she wasn't pleased when she saw him again out on parole was an understatement, though Colress was quick to get her to calm down by saying that and that he wasn't working with Team Plasma anymore and had no intentions of ever trying to control pokemon again. He explained that he wanted to make a machine to enable humans and pokemon to communicate with each other like N did, and asked if she'd help him. While initially hesitant, curiosity won out in the end, and Kahjah went with him. Unforunately, they weren't able to succeed, with the last attempt giving Kahjah an extremely painful migraine, turning her eyes red and causing red lightning to crackle all around her body, at which point Colress called it off and was quick to take good care of her until the pain subsided and she returned to normal. He still feels guilty about that.

Looker

[ Familiar Human ] Looker is weird for running around without a captive pokemon to help defend himself, though Kahjah also respects him for that. He was present for Ghetsis's and Colress's arrests, and while he found Kahjah peeing on Ghetsis hilarious, scolded the group to rein in their pokemon next time. To say he was shocked to find out Kahjah was a wild pokemon was an understatement.
