Summary
Sanya's the "heir of Itrillis" - the rulers' oldest offspring groomed to eventually take over their fathers' place, despite their dislike of the prospect and the strain that their fathers' governing methods put on their concience.
Sanya's roleplay revolved around them being one of the few who'd attained, through a series of strange events, powers of extraterrestrial nature. Their goals included keeping their love-interest safe, dealing with their birthright and trying to navigate various factions in order to find out whether humans really are the only sentient lifeform in this part of the universe.
The roleplay ended with Sanya broke, wanted by multiple factions and disowned...but they'd made peace with having committed murder on their fathers' behalf and had a clear idea on how to eventually "liberate" Itrillis from their fathers' rule. Furthermore the player-characters had succeeded in reaching the original homeplanet of the civilization who'd granted them powers and learned a lot about themselves in the process.
The roleplay campaign lasted from the 14th of August 2021 to the 13th of February 2022 for a total of 20 sessions.
Personality and beliefs
Sanya's a bit of a daredevil and a show-off when it comes to committing stunts - the kind of person to jump off a moving platform with artificial wings or try out that one difficult hoverboard trick to impress someone cute. Sanya's been raised in affluent wealth and has some issues understanding how common people live. As a result they come off as naive at times, woefully unaware of their own privilege. That said, once the privilege has been addressed a surprisingly compassionate personality lies underneath. Sanya isn't opposed to totalitarianism per say, but they find themselves disgusted by people who use their power to hurt others and as such consider themselves a low-key supporter of the Central Government and it's pro-democracy governing structure. That said Sanya has come to understand that Central has rotten on the inside, but have no simple answer on how to fix it.
They'd sheepishly identify as agnostic, especially after gaining their seemingly supernatural powers during the roleplay. They believe in this vague sense of "there's something preternatural and powerful out there, probably" but do not pray nor follow any religious rituals.

Appearance
Sanya is narrow-shouldered, with long thin limbs, some lean muscle and a completely flat chest. They've got large, wide blue eyes, a small mouth and strong jawline. As a fashion choice they've furthermore dyed their eyebrows lighter in a manner that only the innermost portion of the eyebrow retains its' natural color. As of now they have no notable scars.
Sanya often tries to manufacture a sense of either androgynity or masculinity, going for relatively little makeup and well-fitting tailormade clothes. That said, they do wear eyeliner fairly regularily and are fond of painting their nails - both habits which are traditionally considered feminine in nature in itrillian society.
Gear
Sanya is currently on the lookout for clothes made of stretchy chameleon-fabric, to keep up with their shapeshifting abilities.
Apart from a small collection of hovercrafts stored on Itrillis Sanya has no permanent gear. They currently have about 14 million 6.3 million 800 000 credits on their bank account.
[PC] An 18-year old machine operation intern from the planet Yollo, fresh out of trade school. The two met each other when Dragan was abducted by the same kidnappers who'd taken Sanya and Ella, said kidnappers having mistaken Dragan for his celebrity doppelganger. Sanya currently regards Dragan as the "only other normal person in this group", though is wary of Dragan's tendency to mouth off. The powers he attained include the ability to enact control over electrical machinery.
Doctor Ellaseerandiarius Safariensis (Ella):Acquaintance
Time known each other: two months[PC] An eccentric noblewoman-xenobiologist from the planet Yoqua 5. She is quite open about finding it difficult to care about people, but devotes herself to her planets' native "armored hummingbeasts". Her efforts to augment herself in order to exert control over said hummingbeasts and anything else compatible have led to her new powers being related to controlling people. Sanya started out very understanding towards the womans' empathy-issues, but over time their relationship soured due to Ella's seeming lack of moral compass and intimate relationship with Usar.
[NPC] Daughter of the head of the Raucon uprisings. She'd been on the run for years but came out of hiding to seek out the party. She's yet another one who's had an encounter with remnants of the same alien culture we came across, gaining the ability to see visions. Sanya's made it their personal mission to ensure her safety, but the pairs' relationship is complicated due to Nemair's desire to use her powers to help her father fight Central Government.
[NPC] Yet another one who's been in contact with the alien culture, gaining the ability to manipulate time. Nea's only living family. Anchari is seen as an "extremist" and a "terrorist ideologist" by Central Government due to the man doing "whatever it takes" to ensure that Raucon becomes a republic. Anchari was a semi-antagonistic presence throughout the campaign, but Sanya worked with him for a while to save Nea. That said, in the end he was too obstinate to abandon his life's work, which lead to him likely being killed by special forces after the end of the campaign.
[NPC] Possibly one of the richest men in the world, who made acquaintances with the party whilst being kidnapped along with us. Owner of Usar Inc. as well as a line of mines on the planet Raucon. He's engaged to Ella, but on antagonistic terms with the rest of the party because we didn't let him "research" our powers, broke out of his laboratory and gave our darndest to stop him from gaining the wish-fulfilling artefact.
[NPC] Ruler and "emperor" of Itrillis, father of five kids (none of whom have the same mother). A tall, stoic man with cold gray eyes and prematurely white hair who'se worst fear is that his chosen heir is going to be too soft and cost the family it's position. Sanya is scared shitless of the man because the older they get and the more elaborate their fathers' "tests" become the more they realize that he's hardly the wise, benevolent ruler the local media portrays him as, but rather a dictator as coldhearted as his domain.

Backstory
Sanya was the first and only child between Emperor Venyamin Itrillis and his then-flame, socialite Anhelina Karise Lyodova. By merit of being The Emperors' first child Sanya immediately became a prime candidate for being the one to take over their fathers' position some day.
Sanya received top-notch education from the best tutors in Itrillis, but were never a particularily motivated student. Their interests tended to lay in VR games and small flying machines, which they saw as means of "experiencing true freedom".
Sanyas' father was physically and emotionally distant, rarely meeting with any of his children outside of ceremonial events and keeping tabs on them by proxy. However with Sanya some personal touch was applied, through occasional and oftentimes unexpected "character building exercises", from being submerged in a one-person submarine to making live decisions with the fate of a real factory-town on the line. As far as Sanya could gather their father saw it as a valid means of parenting, but they regarded the increasingly unpleasant tests as an unwanted burden.
The breaking point came with the untimely death of Itrillis's head of parliament, Julia Ratkova. The beloved politician, who had been campaigning for increased parliamental power had been murdered in her own house by her security guard, or so the media claims. There were, of course, people who cast doubt on the official course of events, claiming that the "beloved emperor" had begun feeling insecure and had Ratkova executed. Few, however, noticed or made the connection in Sanya becoming distant and quitting all FPS games at around that time. Another test finished.
Roleplay campaign
Freeform sci-fi live roleplay with two more players (3 total) and one game master.
The campaign started with the player characters getting abducted by a terrorist organization. Over the following days the player-characters managed to turn their captors into captives and worked with the galactic police in order to take down the terrorists' mothership.
The aforementioned mission had also included an unplanned crashlanding on an uninhabited planet, during which the PCs gained unexplainable powers from an alien artefact. The setting is not officially known to harbor any non-human intelligent life and the abilities gained from the alien artefact appeared to correspond to the characters' deepest desires, such as giving the mechanically minded Dragan control over electricity, Ella the ability to gain partial control over people and Sanya...Sanya got their key to leaving their father. They realized soon that they are able to shift their shape. Be whoever they want to, for just a little while. An ability which could potentially be used for anything from infiltrating places to running permanently away from their responsibilities.
Soon the player characters became wanted by the police due to "liberating" the "terrorist sympathizer" Nemari Maleios from custody. They proceeded to stumble their way through half the factions in the setting in an attempt to find out more about the source of their powers and reach a distant planet which promised to house an artefact capable of fulfilling one's hearts desire.
Activating the "artefact" required the co-operation of multiple individuals who hated each-other and resulted in a series of battles, blackmail, philosophical ponderings on the nature of happiness and theorizing on whether the whole thing is an elaborate alien experiment. Once turned on however it, indeed, gave the participants detailed instructions on how to reach their hearts' desire. That said we may have resurrected an alien god, but hey, at least they kept to their promises.
After credits
Following the events of the roleplay the party broke apart for good. Ella eloped with Usar, Dragan became an anti-corporate whistleblower who took down Usar Inc and Nemari Maleios had seen from the artefact how to find out "the truth" about the entities who'd given us powers, thus heading off to partake in a years-long expedition into deep space rather than staying with Sanya.
Sanya returned to Itrillis undercover. If we assume that everything worked out, then they'd have used the information from the artefact to find allies, build a legal case against their father and ensure that he gets tried for his crimes. Sanya would've eventually been a big part in turning Itrillis into a constitutional monarchy wherein the Emperor has a symbolic role. That said they never took on a position of leadership themselves, rather becoming a symbol of the uprising, then a regular politician and eventually fading out of the public eye to focus on family and personal life.
Personal headcanon says that rather than wait for Nemari's return Sanya eventually married an itrillian lady named Mila and had a daughter Marena. Mila would eventually be out of the picture, either due to death or divorce.
Sanya would have tried to make contact with Nemari Maleios after she returned from her expedition some 15 years later, and done their best to organize a reunion-meeting with her and Dragan for old time's sake.

The Moon Itrillis
Itrillis (galactic addres S5T49P2K1) is an iceball moon orbiting an enormous gas-giant called Zsiganius. Underneath the surface of Itrillis lies a near-global salty sea, which is exposed as a band of liquid water around the equator. This "equatorial sea" provides a fertile breeding ground for the local animals including a numerous type of "flying fish" and bright red photosynthesizing organisms. Itrillis exhibits volcanic activity, spurred on by the gravitational pull of its' massive companion-planet. Said volcanism sources nutrients for underwater ecosystems as well as power and warmth for its' residents.
The person who eventually became the First Emperor was democratically chosen to be Itrillis's leader, however trusted none but his own offsprings to take over the responsibility of running the colony, thus making the title of ruler constitutionally hereditable. These days the "emperor" of Itrillis has developed a personality cult around himself, as the benevolent overseer and protector of the people. Life on Itrillis is great and it's such a crazy coincidence that accidents keep happening to folks who say otherwise.
