Kaito
so long as the wind blows and the rain falls, people will dream.
Born in April, this Nightmare Yumenari has a tendency for lazing about and enjoying the gloomy weather rather than rushing about, even far back into his youth. While other Yumenari children were running to expel their energy, Kaito remained happily within the cove. With tired eyes, he began to observe the older Nightmares as they did their work, and decided that this was more their speed.
But why work hard at it when he can do the bare minimum? As Kaito aged, it began to realize that this was their only purpose.. so why not relax? No need to be the best, or even second best. Right in the middle seemed alright to it, so that's where it will be. Perfectly.. Average. After all, if they just do what's necessary, they can spend the rest of their time relaxing.. Lazing about in the sun's warm glow is ideal. It warms their fur and brings a smile to that pale face, and silently he thanks the gods that he doesn't burn.
Their job isn't all boredom, though. They deeply enjoy fooling about with humanity. Whether in a physical sense or within their sleep.. It's simply the most enjoyable when he gets a reaction from them. Because despite them thinking of humans as mere playthings, the validation of acceptance and being liked by them is what they strive for. Earth and the humans living on it are so varied and interesting, even to him as a Yumenari, and it's impossible for him not to be allured by the prospect of it all.
His favorite things on Earth are the many festivals and activities they can participate in. Though they can never remain there for long, they often find themselves wandering through the dreams of the humans who partake in it just so they can feel like they were involved.
This sort of life will probably never change for them.. After all, they're happy where they are now. But maybe the idea of new people and new things might call out to them again.. and inspire them to change, just a little.
