Overview
Jalo was originally a Finnish traveller from ancient times who was last seen in Japan and disappeared mysteriously. He has reappeared in modern times as a void eater. Void Eaters are typically unstable beings who do not co-exist well with their hosts. Jalo has survived through mysterious circumstances, and just comes and goes as he pleases.
Appearance Notes
Has an extra set of teeth on his stomach that leads to a void dimension. Most people are not originally aware of this, as he keeps these teeth hidden under his kimono except when he actually needs those abilities. The stomach mouth actually does all the talking, if at all, and his normal mouth remains closed most of the time.
Skills & Abilities
Absorb
Owing to his fusion with a void eater, Jalo has the ability to absorb anything that he can swallow with the void dimension in his stomach mouth. Any object he swallows remains in the same state they were in.
Clone
Has the ability to clone any object he has already absorbed. The objects cloned are in the exact same state they were in when he absorbed them. However, cloning has the side effect of making Jalo hungry. The larger, more complicated or more energy it requires to create a clone, the more hungry it makes him. If he becomes too hungry, he will just start mindlessly devouring everything in sight.
Photographic Memory
His original host already had pretty good memory, but as a void eater, it's pretty useful because he can actually remember exactly what he's already absorbed.
Creation & Conception
I originally made him as another random old monster, but I liked the idea, and it was quite freaky, so I drew him a few times more. The stuff about the void dimension sort of came later.
