Surya has several lovers at any time, both human and godly. They have a number of children, though none of note.
Despite what one may initially think, Surya’s domain isn’t limited to combat. They celebrate every victory, from battle to passed math tests to making it through the day, and the power they favor is the confidence and warm strength that comes from within. On the other hand, they encourage those who experience losses and powerlessness to help them grow. They are an active and dutiful god who spends a lot of time in the human world, attending tournaments and sporting events. Surya is also a protective god who will come to the defense of children and animals, or those who can’t help themselves.
Surya is most often acknowledged by those who need them in the moment, but a small thing one can do to appreciate them is to burn a red or yellow candle through the night (the thought is- since Surya is believed to walk by sunlight, it simulates a little sun to make their travels easier at night). One can also honor Surya, most often at a festival for the gods, by fire walking (not really harmful if done confidently enough, but still takes courage to try). They don’t ask for much in the way of worship, but to join in victory celebrations and feasts. They also ask that followers go out and bask in the sun once in a while, for their own good.
Not meant to be part of any real life pantheon, simply fictional. The sun crown is a physical/literal part of the design
