Friends since their second year of highschool. Nova decided to stick with Zen because of her laidback personality, which made her feel calm and comfortable. She was there when Nova was having a hard time at home (rather wouldn't leave her alone) and always had her back. In return, she stayed loyal to Zen and stuck by her side when she was kicked from their highschool girl gang.
Nova finds herself fond of the younger girl, who reminds her a lot of herself with the way she carries herself. That no-nonesense, business-like attitude is endearing and she relates a lot to Han especially as they are both estranged from their single parent.
Nova sometimes gets annoyed with Tomo because of her spineless and timid personality. She's the embodiment of the person that Nova would hate to be seen as. She often exercises tough love on Tomoko, but really she wants to protect her and teach her how to look out for herself. One thing she likes about Tomoko however, is that no matter how shy she is, Tomo is always doing something she's afraid of which is inspiring as Nova cannot step out of her comfort zone.
She's weird but she's also a good time. Sometimes annoying, and too high-energy, she's a breath of fresh air, with her honesty and openness. Yet, Nova is a little suspicious of Zee because none of the other members know anything about her. She's both very open and closed off at the same time.
