Anselmo's Links
Anselmo isn't really sure if Thornsbane is an ally or an enemy, even though she's saved his life many times. She talks and acts like she wants him dead, but goes to great lengths to keep him safe. Nobody's ever protected Anselmo before, so he's still wary of her intentions. For now, though, it's much more fun to explore with a companion! He will have to introduce her to the spirit of the foolish king, if they ever get back to his portal.
This tiny human has a death wish. He's also the most interesting thing that's ever happened to Thornsbane. She got mixed up in his problems reluctantly, at first, meaning only to get him as far as the Overworld so she wouldn't have the death of a piglet on her conscience. But then he got them into trouble after trouble, and she was stuck making sure he didn't die. At this point, she's sunk too much time in to leave now.
Thornsbane isn't sure if humans are normally like this, but Anselmo is strange. He knows the most obscure details of any environment they find themselves in, and speaks of spirits and other worlds. She doesn't really buy into any of it, but she wonders what humans must go through to have them raving like madmen at such a tender age.
Anselmo is a regular at Di's shop, and is quite familiar with the diamond man. He especially frequents the shop when preparing to venture into the nether. Di has never been unkind to him, which is a nice change of pace. He's still touchy about putting too much trust into what might be a customer service persona, but he does try to bring jars of honey to give whenever he comes by.
