Here are descriptions of each of them with my earlier hatching notes and such intact, hopefully they will serve as relevant for candidacy info!

These are headed to the Death Court held at the Vella Crean! http://vellacrean.com/the-death-court/

40191415_O1Ri1yWZzluPAa3.png

There are 6 attendees, shown above in scale to one another

HISSTH, male violet-blue semi biped supposedly large for a blue at 30 feet long lol. he’s grown, I would probably put him at 9’6 shoulder and 36’ long, 70’ws, from Halloween 2k1 at Healing Den out of Buszketh + Vladmirth both with healing den lines

Winged Flight very strong, fast, used to close quarters flight around the Den’s interior; Teleportation, rarely used but he seems able to move unerringly to where he wants to be, whether that is half a foot to the right, or another dimension entirely; Telepathy, though he still doesn’t even bother with this, he can receive mental communication from whoever’s around, and likely cast his own thoughts, though he’s rusty at that, at best. Firebreath? Verbal speech? Who knows what else he’s got up his draconic sleeves.

Hatching Notes--Making his way around the broken shells and the rocking eggs, was a large bodied violet-blue dragon from Buszketh’s group. He had sharply curved solid-tined wings of lace-violet. He almost made it to the exit tunnel, before Locken tugged on his tail. The dragon turned and sharply hissed at him, but dared not bite or scratch.

“Hissth, don’t you dare try going out there! It’s cold and dark and even I don’t know where we really are...”

--- 2021 ---

Hissth was lost to the darkness that claimed Locken, and others, years and years ago. He, like some, made his way back ‘home’, to the Den, but even the Hydras left him be when he was in a mood. He lived up to his name, at any rate, Hissth barely spoke with his mind, let alone with a voice, and he ought to have had one. Perhaps he will speak if he meets the right people. And by people, that means dragons.

***

HAKKATH, White-Green-White, pale green with forest and white frost mks; Twiseath and Jaluth parents, 7’6” s and semi-bipedal, 42’ l, 60’ ws (actually she really should be much larger given that Twiseath is a ‘queen sized green’, and Jaluth is a brown sized bronze... but whatever, she’s a green with white so that makes her smaller i guess maybe she was stunted by being abandoned; from Healing Den Frenzy 3, the bicolor frenzy)

Winged Flight, very strong, used to lifting heavy prey; Teleportation, rapid fire or long distance local world preferred, but she can also move through dimensions easily; Telepathy, her mind voice is hard, steely, or more accurately as sharp as her talons, and though she lacks a really great vocabulary it’s clear that she does have her own mind and wits; Assisted Firebreath, she hasn’t needed to breathe flame to hunt, and feels it is not really needed, she never learned how to ‘chew’ and honestly if she did have that unassisted version that some Old World dragons evolved while in the Den, she’d snipe with it at medium to close range with deadly accuracy; she does not have verbal speech.

Hatching Note --Two greens and a large golden white broke shell, then a speckled white-blue, then a darkly violet-blue. The golden white one screeched loudly, making the greens wince. One of the greens was very pale, a minty color. But her wings were very deeply forest green underneath, and her nose and wing edges were specked with white. She wobbled her way towards Tamira, and in a beseeching tone asked, will you show me where you live? I want a warm place. What is that on your shoulder? I am Hakkath.
“That... That’s little Manilla. He was my birthing day gift! But oh you’re such a great gift too!”

-- she was abandoned at the sands, however, Not only does Hakkath feel cheated, she feels used. Never approach this dragon without good reason, as she has stormed in and out of the Den with blood in her eye and even some on her claws...

--- 2021 ---

Hakkath is absolutely the prime candidate for this subversive group the Death Court. And she resented the word ‘candidate’ so much that she spat a draconic curse at herself for thinking it.

JOAKARAT and YASASHII

“When they were abandoned on the sands by their ghostly 'friends', this pair of half-hydra half-dragons bonded to one another and will not be separated. They are half-siblings, their mother is the great Diamis. Baeris of the Healing Den is more than happy to see them getting out, because they've decided to take up residence down in the lowest areas of the Healing Den's structure. Occasionally they squeeze out and start making trouble.” They went to Dragonsoul’s frenzy that included dragons with odd features such as multiple heads, fewer limbs, and the like.

Flight notes for the DragonSoul Odd Frenzy--The four-headed female has named herself Joakarat, a word which ironically in Hungarian means 'good will'. She has no wings, yet she can somehow levitate herself and teleport. She has a black opal indicating her gender, an Amethyst (bond), two Emeralds (loyalty) and one Sapphire (intelligence) in her silver crowned main head. Her other three heads often snap at things and must be chastised. Her father is black-opal Death. She is quite pissed off that her loyalty and bonding have been wasted on her original human bond. 10’ s / 60’ l / no wings

Speed Run, since she is land-bound Joakarat has developed a strong but exhausting burst of speed that she uses similarly to a cheetah - it only lasts less than a minute, and if she has to do any amount of maneuvering, that time goes down rapidly. With it, she can however run overland in a straight line at an incredible break-neck pace, upwards of 120 mph, though stopping is a matter of duck and roll (which usually adds another amount she’s traveling...); Teleportation, this on the other paw is a spectacularly strong power which she uses even as an attack - she can teleport other creatures, generally horse-sized or smaller, within 25 meters of herself; that said, it’s easier for her to teleport herself, than to do this with another creature, and if she just needs to get somewhere within 100 miles she just goes there, and she can reliably teleport between dimensions and often enough carries Yasashii along; Telepathy, very good vocabulary which may be a remnant of her birth-bond’s mind, but honestly the only reason she uses this to communicate is that she sometimes wants to be secretive or silent, otherwise she dislikes having any humanoid in her head, so she will use Verbal Speech to communicate with those things...; Unassisted Firebreath, though only her main crowned head can produce it, she can spit out a sticky napalm-like ‘fire’ more like a fireball than a gout, that is not accurate farther than 100 meters, and definitely can reach up to 200 if she really wants to screw things up for people around her (casting fireball in a 10x10 hallway... yeah sure why not!)

Hatching note--But the one which the green hydra-dragon picked had hardly had a body on for more than a night and a day, and could only hold on to it for a few hours at a time without losing her cohesion. She dissolved into a greeny mist, almost the same color as the hatchling.

Mary, Mary, I am here and you won’t hide from me. I am hungry, and if you know what’s best for you, you’ll start finding me some food. Or else, I might start eating right now!

She snapped at a nearby boy, who shrieked and bolted from the sands in terror. Mary situated herself inside the hydra-dragon’s mind and comforted her. I’m here, and the food is this way. I should like to feel you eating it... And some day we’ll go off and hunt... that will be such fun...

YASASHII

Five headed red-black Yasashii (meaning gentle, sweet in Japanese) was fathered by copper Yarpath. His claim to fame is that while he is a Hydra mix, he can fly with those sturdy thick-boned wings. He is wide-bodied, but smallish in size. 8’ s / 35’ l / 50’ ws His silver crown carries a white opal showing his gender, a Diamond (strength), an Amethyst (bonding), and one Ruby -- a new stone for Hydra meaning their Temper. He's a hot one. He and his half-sister bonded and are more than a little likely to mate during this odd flight. (( I don’t know whether they actually did, can’t find dragonsoul’s odd frenzy hatching))

Winged Flight, markedly good with stiff winds and difficult conditions, he manages to form a perfect arrow with his heads while he takes to the air, and likes playing lawn darts onto prey below; Teleportation, though he’s got this skill he isn’t the one bringing anyone around, that’s his partner’s job; Telepathy, always sharply to the point, not a really big thinker, more of a do-er, and it shows in his rough speech, he is the type who would vividly describe a ‘critical hit kill’ in a tabletop game, but has difficulty talking about the weather; Verbal Speech, yeah, don’t expect him to talk his way out of anything, he’s never bothered to practice human speech; Unassisted Firebreath, like his half-sister he can breathe flames, but he concentrates on small bursts of very hot dagger-like flames, which can certainly ignite anything dry or flammable, accurate to over 150 meters but deadly at 20.

Hatching note-- Diamis bugled again, and this time, people had the sense to get out of the way of her hatchling. But someone from the kitchens had thought ahead: she bravely stood with half a haunch of something fresh-killed.

Not particularly a good idea, girlfriend... Bespoke the dark red-brown hydra-with-wings which broke shell. His voice was hard, cold, vicious. Quickly, though the serving girl dropped the haunch and it landed smack on the ground in front of the rapidly moving hydra, her foot caught on a broken shell and she tripped.

That was the end of her. The beginning of something else. Aggie drifted with a laugh down to the hydra-dragon. I think you were looking for me. I just have this urge to call friends on the telephone and get them to come over, just so I can see the expressions on their faces while you eat them...

Then you ARE the one I am looking for. Besides, the single-silver-crowned hydra thought, I cannot eat you, you’re already quite dead. In his crown were three stones, a diamond, ruby and amethyst. His wings actually looked like they would support his weight, though there were four small head-nubs: this would be a five-headed hydra.

***

KALKENOUX

Large bronze with red male 9 headed, 3 with crowns, 4 sapphires (total) and 2 rubies; pretty quick to act, as well as calm himself. I’m gonna call him 15’ tall at the shoulder, but he’s built like a fucking bunker and is only about 50’ long, and his wings can’t fly anyway so wingspan is ‘stunted’ at 60’ (he’s still freaking huge).

Teleportation, able to move between worlds and times as well as local space, Kalkenoux concentrates on sensing realms or spots before moving himself and others there, he is calculated and careful in this power, though he must rest after if he’s going to bring anyone with him; Underwater ‘flight’, those wings of his can allow him to speed along in water, in ways that he couldn’t even dream of doing in the air; and since he does have pretty big lungs he can maintain this undersea motion for an hour or more before having to return to the surface and breathe; Telepathy, as with his teleportation sense, he has an incredibly strong range to his mental voice and perception, almost to the point of ‘astral projection’ to other dimensions and far-off minds, this has been something he’s focused and practiced, perhaps in the attempt to communicate with his dam Diamis, and he always gives a ‘ping’ before moving off the Den just in case he might catch a glimpse of her mind; Verbal Speech, he sounds almost polite, he sounds almost kindly, but those tones are always lies at least to humans or bonded dragons in the Den, and Kalkenoux knows how to sweet talk or chastise as well as barter or bicker; Firebreath, his main crowned heads can breathe out flames that reach up to 200 meters though not accurately, more of a fan-out-and-hope, capable of burning wet wood and exploding gasses nearby even just from the heat

Hatching note--Abruptly, another large shell from Diamis’ sands cracked open with a loud sound. The bronze-colored head which emerged first had a silver crown on it, with a white opal telling the world it was male, a ruby and a sapphire gem on either side of it. Thinking there would be something more to this, and totally bored with the goings-on so far, Laurethiel and Talithya swept down from their perches in the high stands to see what this dragon-hydra might look like closer up.

Two other main heads emerged, and had the gall to have black crowns. As if this was a Majestic or Chaos hydra! But there were only six more head nubs, this was a nine-headed mix. The other heads had one sapphire each set in their crowns. When the thickly built dragon-hydra came fully out of his shell, everyone could see nicely shaped but far too small wings on his back. They were for show, then. His tail split at the end, but also had a dragon’s distinct spades on each one.

And quite as abruptly as he’d been interrupted by these two women from some other world, he decided that eating one of them was right about the best thing in the world.

Two of his heads grasped Laurethiel by her arms, and the third gazed at her as she couldn’t even scream. Her head was in his mouth, in an instant.

Talithya stood by, her flaming hair sputtering gracefully in the breeze. When the big hydra-creature had eaten all but the shoes of her former friend, Talithya nodded. “A fine thing. You know I could never stand how she insisted upon calling me by my old name.”

I shall call you Copper, is that it? You must call me Kalkenoux then. It is only fair. The pair disappeared to wherever it was that the Copper Queen decided they should rest, since he’d already had his first meal.

Stunned, and completely silent, the sands and the stands remained almost perfectly still as the spell taking them away faded in the air.

As one, people began to shudder, and some younger folk began to cry. This evening certainly had been a mix of terror and amazement.

--- 2021 ---

Kalkenoux was patient, but his ability to wait was being sorely tempted over the years. He had asserted dominance over most of the hidden lurkers down in the Healing Den’s cavernous tunnels, and of those who would occasionally attempt to have communications with his distant dam, Diamis, but those failed for whatever reason.

SHE OF MANY MOUTHS

Hote(a)n Matsu or Genzai (present time) no longer uses a name and seems to just be waiting (that’s what the name might have meant, it doesn’t translate)

let’s tally these gems, 1 female; Strength 2; chaos 3; intelligence 4; bonding 3; loyalty 2; temper 2; willpower 4

powers info--Hyakuhei's 20 headed Hydra-dragon Female-- HAS NO NAME, please tell me what it's name is (obviously this is an old note)

Gold crown: black opal, amethyst, black diamond, 2x emeralds; Silver-blue head: 2x sapphire, 2x topaz (willpower); Silver-orange head: 2x ruby, 2x diamond; Black-Violet head: 2x black diamond, 2x topaz; Black-green head: 2x sapphire, 2x amethyst -- will grow around 37 feet long or more if that's appropriate for this critter... MIGHT be able to fly, on a good headwind; *lol we’re going to say she’s at least 20’ at the shoulder, she’s supposed to be huge after all, she’d be well over 100 feet long though half that’s tail, and 90’ ws. Winged Flight, with narrow and somewhat ragged two-tined wings, She tends to use them as emphasis or reach rather than for flying, but She can break a fall or glide a bit, only with great difficulty can she lift off, normally she’d have to run and jump off a high spot to catch any air; Teleportation, although she doesn’t use this power very often, it’s clear that she does regularly head out from the Den to hunt or just to be away from the place, and she tends to want to be in the air to do it, but jumping and landing somewhere else is always good for ‘making an entrance’, her ability isn’t ‘stunted’ so much as ‘unpracticed’ at this point, but she should be able to take virtually the whole group with her if she teleports on-world, and perhaps one smaller dragon mass (like Hissth) off-world; Telepathy, she is a smart hydragon, but since she is far less social than she wanted to be she’s let this power slip a bit - she listens in, but rarely projects any thoughts unless needed, and generally only close range, she will not speak with her mind or voice to humanoids of any sort, unless absolutely necessary (Atrocity she’s looking at you); Verbal Speech, when she does speak, you will listen, she used to have a much wider range of discussion points or knowledge to talk about, but maybe she’ll regrow her vocabulary with other dragons around once more, she is positively terrifying if she screams, which is often, and if all five of her heads speak at once, it is both hellish and hypnotizing to hear, a fact which she can use to her advantage if she wants to cause some absolute chaos, which yes, she always does, and that works on virtually anything that communicates in words; Firebreath, what she lacks in accuracy she more than makes up for with being able to blow incredibly hot flames from her crowned heads up to 200 meters, but also her smaller heads can belch out their own weaker flames to around 25 meters, she cannot keep up all of those heads for long, so she generally reserves her flames for things that need to be extra goddamn crispy

Hatching--Diamis’ fifth egg – the largest most people had seen – trembled open. Pieces of it fell away, and everyone realized that it was because the five heads within were pecking and biting their way out. Five, multi-colored heads. Strong ones. The dragon-part of it, winged shoulders which might bear enough weight to fly, slipped from the jagged shell and the hind legs kicked out behind them, sending the shell clattering and shattering against the stone wall of the chamber.

Her skin was blood red, with black on her belly. Diamis was pleased to note that this half-dragon thing wasn’t all bad, since one could generally tell what the high and low points of every hatchling were to be, by their appearance at birth! From this one, though... Five heads were not enough. The main head, red as her body, had a golden crown with its black opal, but also had then a black diamond, an amethyst, and two emeralds upon it. The head next to it, a golden-orange color, as well as the one to its right which was blue, both sported silver crowns with several jewels in them: two sapphires, two rubies and two diamonds between them, but then Diamis bellowed with anger, “what is that on that crown?” For there were two yellow-colored topaz jewels, signifying just what?

The last two heads, a violet one and a green, had black crowns. Between those, there were two black diamonds, two more sapphires, two amethysts and two more of those odd topaz jewels. And between each head, there were three stumps of heads, meaning that this, if one could count properly, would be a twenty-headed hydra.

With wings.

A faint chuckling filled the silence in the room. As the big hydra-dragon stood and hissed her greetings at her mother, two heads saw a young very pale skinned woman standing alone. No one wanted to come near the girl anyway, she was reputed to have killed and eaten several people while she stayed in the Healing Den. She wasn’t going to be very welcome in the future.

Hyakuhei. A fine name. I require sustenance and also a name for myself. Could you help me find that, while I assist you?

“Why of course I could, but you shall have to earn it first,” the demonic child said. Everyone moved out of their way, and someone called out so that the kitchens be rid of human and draconic inhabitants while this monster and her monstrous bond came in.

“That’s the end of that.” Magika grunted. “She has to die.”

“Not here, not now...” Baeris said, her tone a warning mixed with a plea. “Let the rest bond first, then you do what you must. But this is a place of healing. I must have that kept at least halfway true.”

Grudgingly, Magika remained in her seat, though she kept glancing over her shoulder and glaring at Diamis.
