Crown Prince of (have not named this country yet). A responsible prince with a strong sense of justice. Mitra is confident and fair, but often so single-minded he misses political scheming around him. Fortunately, his beloved wife Diya is always watching his back. Though he's straight and married, Mitra has an unintentionally flirty personality towards anyone. He's skilled in charm magic, as well as shapeshifting and mimicry. Also very fond of animals, particularly peacocks and tigers. He even dresses a bit like a peacock.
Mitra has been his father's right hand council from a young age. He has had extensive education in all sorts of matters, from science to etiquette to art. Most of his schooling was in politics and the ways of the court, with a healthy dose of practical education. Mitra was taught the basics of magic at a young age, but was discouraged by not being immediately good at it. He picked it up himself later, out of the desire to improve himself, as well as impress his father. He's quite good at artistic hobbies, particularly dancing and painting, but often pretends he prefers more intellectual things if anyone asks. He also has an interest in precious metals and gems, and knows a lot about them.
His father is somewhat physically abusive and emotionally neglectful. Mitra has always had to deal with all of his emotions or struggles himself, and has trouble relying on others. Mitra is desperate for his father's love and respect, but at the same time many of his personal and passionately-held beliefs(for example, pro women's rights and anti war) go against his father's. His willingness to listen to or even work alongside women and the lower classes is also scandalous in the eyes of other nobles. Mitra learned these values by being a decent person who feels bad when he sees others suffering, but when push comes to shove he doesn’t yet have the backbone to stand up to his father.
He was born with brown eyes, but they turned gold as he learned magic.
