Hi, I'm hej! I may or may not literally be a hedge, but I'll let you decide.
I have a lot of love for music and my city, and I'm sure both are obvious in my characters. I'm also a sports fan: I love baseball (New York Mets), ice hockey (New York Islanders), and professional wrestling, and when I'm not working on my comic, I draw sports cartoons. I'm also a hobbyist photographer.
All my characters (except two...) are created by me, and you might also notice that some of them are very old. It's no mistake: I've had many of these characters all my life. Some even date to when I was a baby-- though they may have undergone a lot of changes since then! They're all my beloved kids, and I always find new ways to tell their stories.
Despite living in the forum games, I'm probably shyer than I look-- but I love everyone and their amazing OCs, so if you ever want to talk, feel free to message me or say hi on social media.
Thanks for looking at my profile. c:
Most of my characters here are from my comic-in-progress, Catband, about a battle of the bands TV show. The first version ran as a webcomic from 2007-2009, and I'm currently planning a reboot, so most of what I'm doing on Toyhouse right now is updating and redesigning the characters, and writing short stories from that world.
It's basically my life's work: I took a few years off from it, but in the end, I knew that this is the story I need to tell. I'm excited to give these guys' stories the justice they deserve-- and I can't wait to share it with you.
If you're interested in behind-the-scenes development stuff and updates, the comic has a Twitter!
I love art trades, but they're closed for now while I take care of some life things.
I don't buy/sell/trade characters and I'm not open to roleplay.
I'd been meaning to get around to this for a while, but I finally did it: every character who has literature written about them now has an alert banner at the bottom of their profile with a link to their library, so you can tell that they do! Here's Amber as an example.
There's also no way to sort characters by most lit yet, so I made a tag for all my characters who have literature here (which also makes it obvious which characters don't yet... hmmmmm. Any characters you guys want to see me write about? Anyone spoilery I probably can't write about yet, like the Wild Dogs, but I'm open to all suggestions!).
(As a side note, I'm slowly working on getting five more new profiles up, after redoing Carrots' yesterday. Some of these are among the more important characters in the story! I'm finally up to the ones whose bios actually get into the plot of the comic. If you're up for hearing me ramble about this stuff, I do that a lot on the Catband twitter account.)
