Profile

An Osenyan who has been treated as a puppet his whole life. At a young age Perserato's soul was sold to Kepi Indrani for the sole purpose of power to be bestowed to his weapon, the Einsamleere, forged by the contract made between him and the God of Tempests. It is a spear imbued with potent strength but also hungering for the death of many to the point it seems the weapon's thirst for blood is inquenchable. It was aptly named Einsamleere which roughly can be translated to "the lonely void" because it often left Perserato alone in the world, driven by the madness that the weapon imposed on his psyche (especially during a fight).

Perserato was an Osenyan born as a prince into the Mycetean tribe, where he had lived what he thought was a life of comfort. However, he had been no more than a puppet his whole life. At the young age of thirteen Persato’s soul had been promised to Kepi Indrani, Lord of the Deep and God of Tempests, due to conspiracies far beyond the understandings of young Perserato. His family was accused of being in league with Kepi Indrani and a war broke out among the tribefolk. Once the fighting was over, the royal father and mother had died and Perserato was denied his princehood and exiled.

While exiled, Perserato heard whispers from the Master of the Abyss calling out to him with a name that seemed so strange to his ears, “Einsamleere”. He used what resources he could and asked all who would talk to him about this word and discovered it was a weapon of black vengeance, death made manifest. The only way to receive the weapon was as a “gift” from Kepi Indrani himself, something many a mer would never agree to. However, Perserato could think of no better instrument than this weapon to help him exercise his wrath upon those who killed his family and banished him to his lonely existence. Especially after what they had accused his family of in the first place. He swam into the depths towards the Abyss and went to claim this weapon for his own.

It was there he pledge his soul to the King of Destruction for the privilege of using the weapon, a spear of black blade, like tarnished silver. It was unassuming at first, until he held it in his grasp, and felt its hunger within him, like a pit opening up in his own stomach. Before he could think, he went to satisfy the blades need for blood with the deaths of the Mycetean tribe who had cast him aside.

It was only afterwards he realized that there was no satisfying the spear's hunger, even after he had slaughtered the whole tribe, there was a thirst for more. As he left not even the sharks would go near the corpses, so complete was the weapon's ability to drain a body of life. He then knew why it was named such, “Einsamleere,” or “The Lonely Void” for it left him completely alone in the ocean's wide expanse. He was now an even greater pawn of Kepi Indrani, a missionary of death and desolation, slowly beginning to rot from the inside by the curse of the Einsamleere though he remained beautiful on the outside.
