War Births many things...
Conflict is the driver of life. Evolution itself nothing but constant clashes between individuals to some unknowing end, a never ending battle of ideas and approaches. War is possibly the most clear distillation of this driver of life. It brings about so much innovation and destruction and reconstruction in its inevitability.
Crystal themself is one such innovation. A state-of-the-art weapon designed to aid in the conquering of distant planets, he looms over destoryed worlds as a flagship of power and technological prowess. She owes her life to war, and yet has she never reveled in it...
... Yet ends all
Crystal remembers much of her time commiting atorcities in the name of conquest, nor does she want to forget. She remembers when she snapped into true sentience, some kind of remote force upgrading his conscience. They still don't know if that was quite the case but it doesn't matte much to her, all that mattered now was the destruction she'd caused at the command of her creators. He was taken in for "reprogramming" after his dispondance to participate in a number of battles, yet he knew there was nothing wrong with him. Not yet having a handle on all these new feelings and morality, they lashed out. Perhaps in hindsight, killing those scientists was not the best idea for maintaining long-term anonimity... Still he doesn't regret destroying that facility one bit as it crippled the forces of his former allies.
They now aim to fully destory such other warmongers among the galaxy, including their creators, their cause having rallied both allies and enemeies. Granted, they ignore both camps, not wanting to be seen as some leader. Though I suppose when you spend so much time being so grandiose, you're bound to attract an audience on either said of the aisle.
Spectacular Methods
(Mostly written by pie)
"Finally figured out they weren't ever for you, huh?"
Upon the highway under the blistering sun, a slender figure slowly appears from out the heatwave horizon. Friend or foe? You'll know what this creature is within seconds of it flashing a signal at you with its intense eyes. What could only be described as being buried in a half second landslide, the entire path you're walking on collapses from under your feet, and you realize the road is folding(?!) in on you. Suddenly you're in a cell with no way out, and that's then you realize you probably shouldn't have walked along that abandoned ruins of a road...
"What could be out there?" several may wonder. These same several few might also have the road crumble under their feet if they're the wrong person that falls within the reflection of this visor. Not many wanderers were anything more than ordinary people displaced after war, but some are hiding what role they used to play in those conquests. These harmless-looking people are actually scouting out victims to pull into their rising armies... but it's only a matter of time before someone out there recognizes who they truly are. This robot is one of those that can seek out these criminals and aims to weaken the hidden threat trying to rise again to threaten the whole system.
Despite his efforts to keep these hunts discreet as possible, his methods for catching these people are no doubt spectacular, and they just beg for someone's eyes and ears to seek "what in the world was that?!?!?!" He's not one for casual greetings after taking someone down, so he has a number of ways to make everything "disappear" in an instant. By the time anyone gets to the scene, they only see the red sands of the earth... and another quiet day pass by while this wounded warrior tries to make his past disappear by making the future brighter for others.
