Marlowe is a student living away from his parents, completing his literature masters degree in the early 1990s. He has an affinity for horror literature and other media, with his favourite author being Ray Bradbury, of which The October Game is his favourite work. His parents are originally from Italy, but moved the US shortly after giving birth to his older sister Isabella. 

He aims to finish his manuscript and publish it some day, but is a little reluctant to share at first. He can be cynical and quite sarcastic.

--> Biography

Unlike his older sister Isabella, Marlowe was not born in Italy, but as a child his family did take a few vacations over there to see family on certain holidays. His parents are devoutly Catholic, and as a queer person who was a teenager in the 80s, he was particularly rebellious, sneaking out and stealing his sisters clothes. His parents are very oblivious of his obvious queerness.

He did his bachelors degree in the city, but moved to a small town for his masters to put some more distance between him and his parents, but also to move away from his more intense, party life in his late teenagers. The quiet town life appealed to him a lot more as an adult. He met the local librarian, Tony, who complimented is Edgar Allen Poe earrings and they both shared the same interest in horror media.

And the rest is history.
