Freja is one of many alchemists among the Scryers, keeping them supplied with potions, weaponized mixtures, and all kind of other things, such as cleaning agents. It's far easier to get blood out of clothing when you have an alchemical mixture that can do so versus scrubbing it out. She also enjoys making fireworks, and will raise funds for her research by putting on shows in various towns. When she and Avis collaberated on researching a way to kill the Mother of Blight for good, she was the one to suggest that something among the oracle crystals might be the key to doing so, given the fact that the crystals themselves actively repelled the blight.
