Past
Kuura originates from an isolated au ra tribe founded by their great ancestors deep in the wintery mountain range. Besides their seclusion his tribe is known for their devotion to the deity Nymeia and fascination towards the celestial, arcane and aether. Kuura’s tribe saw themselves as watchers of fate and the celestial, keepers of history who should not intervene in major events. When Kuura was born however his echo powers started to manifest as he grew much to the dismay of his tribe who were worried what these powers might bring, especially the elders who decided to keep these powers under supervision and took Kuura under their care.
Following the events of umbral calamities, Kuura found it harder and harder to stick to these convictions and felt something missing and gnawing them deep within and instead desired to help people and ease their suffering. Kuura was also one of the few disciples of the current generation who showed most promise to be the next leader of the tribe, so his decision to leave wasn't taken well with their elders. Hesitating but still determined and guided by the echo, Kuura eventually decided forge his own path and left his tribe. After being sheltered from the outside world for most of his life Kuura was soon faced with the overwhelming world but feeling the desire to find answers and himself, he forged on.
Kuura spent a good while wandering around the place, trying to help those in need, whether it was mundane things, healing injured or fighting monsters. Eventually he even attempted evacuate people from Doma but their ship sank in a storm and Kuura, among few other survivors were picked up by a passing ship and eventually after long voyage delivered to Limsa Lominsa where he dedicated himself in the studies of arcane and honed his skills as a summoner. As time passed however he wanted to find other ways to help people so he decided to travel to Gridania in which he settled for a while to hone his healing abilities and eventually got tangled up with the scions.
To be honest he never really wanted the mantle of the warrior of light, but he still carried it in silence. Doesn't much like being called a hero either, to him people surrounding him and the ones he has met, are as big part of the whole picture as he is as without them, he’s sure he would have perished long ago.
