Driac Imorta

A Storm Dragon abandoned by his parents when he was only 4 years old (and remembers vaguely), adopted by Aurel into his tribe-town and later into his home. It took a very long time for Driac to even warm up to the idea of being anything other than a pet to Aurel, to the point he'd stay in his nest all day and when Aurel came around, he'd either hide or look at him fearfully. Growing up, Aurel was a mentor to him, but seemed to favor Driac as a student - thusly making his only and biological son Kyrell jealous to the point he'd ruthlessly torment Driac with his group of friends. Driac threw himself into work to avoid both the bullying and his own abandonment issues; Much as Driac considered Aurel a father, he never admitted it due to a fear of loving to the point Aurel would end up abandoning him much like his parents did. And Aurel, picking up upon it never called Driac his son, wanting to show a respect for his boundaries. It would be up to Driac to make the first move... but he never did, instead continuing on with throwing himself into his studies, excelling to the point that he surpassed everyone in his smarts... but as he succeeded, it only made Kyrell more hateful and jealous. Driac was basically attached to the hip with Aurel at this point as his student, wanting to learn everything Aurel could teach him before he was of age. He'd had a plan to leave and join the Council. As much as he loved Aurel, He didn't want to be abandoned again, and Kyrell's endless taunting had become too much for him. So he should just let Kyrell and Aurel be a happy family without him in it, right? And so the time eventually comes where Driac is in his early twenties, having learned all he could from Aurel, he sets off to train in the capital base in Hydran.
