Agate
heaven’s perpetually fading star
Black Agate, the goddess of dreams and desires. She’s most powerful when she’s asleep, since she can control her dreams. She eats other people’s dreams, both because she likes the taste and also to keep a close eye on the mortal world. Despite how much she prefers spending time around other deities, it seems she’s still very interested in the mortal world’s affairs. The dreams she eats might be… well, nonsensical, as many dreams are, but her godly insight or whatever helps her understand their true meanings. (At least, that’s what she says. In reality, it’s unlikely that these dreams mean anything at all).
Likes: jewelry, opulence, sleeping, deities.
Personality
She carries herself with a mysterious air, and so to many she appears unapproachable or even dangerous, but she’s actually rather timid (and painfully sarcastic) though. The main traits that people use to describe them are ‘levelheaded’ and ‘possessive’, and… yeah. She loves her friends a lot, to the point where she won’t let them go… it gets kind of uncomfortable sometimes! Regardless though, she does her best to think logically when the topic is not her loved ones. She has an amazing memory and a horrible sense of tact, meaning that if you tell her an embarrassing secret it will not stay a secret.
She sees deities as unquestionably superior to mortals. If a human challenges a god, they are automatically in the wrong, no matter the circumstances. But, in this world, a good number of deities used to be human. Perhaps they gained supernatural powers, but they did not magically become morally pure… They’re just humans with extra steps, basically. She also strongly values hierarchies, but I imagine her opinions would be a little different if she wasn’t at the top of the godly food chain.
Trivia
- She eats dreams by collecting them in her birdcage in the form of a silver flame. Then she just. Munches it I guess.
- She can control her dreams under normal circumstances, but apparently sometimes ancient deities (even more ancient than she is) will try to speak to her through her dreams. That’s always stressful for her.
- They claim every piece of jewelry they wear has a very specific meaning, but when asked about it they refuse to elaborate further.
- Their heavenly abode is a glorious palace with plenty of places to sleep, although they only sleep in a few specific spots (they other places are for guests I guess??). She’s very lax with security, since she doesn’t think anyone hates her enough to break in and steal her stuff.
Dislikes: darkness, being cold.
Their tattoo is around their upper right arm.
Only one wing, it’s on her left.
Remind me to make a robe reference later sorz
Fide’s like her sister pretty much. They don’t always get along or agree, but when they do they’re both simply too powerful. When they don’t get along, their heated debates keep other deities awake (not because they’re interesting, but because they’re so loud).
Agate doesn’t exactly trust Synchro, and for good reason. They’re literally an assassin, you know? Even if gods supposedly can’t die, Agate isn’t 100% sure that Synchro won’t find a way to bend that rule.
