Survives the Resonance Cascade and escapes Black Mesa with James with Gordon Freeman's help. After the Seven Hour War, Maksim and James are separated for 3-5 years. Maksim joins Drs Diane and Rob Freeman's rebel group (and is eventually reunited with James, who defects from Civil Protection.) Eventually meets back up with Gordon and Barney at White Forest, post-Lent 5
