[BACKGROUND]

Dongyul grew up without his father, all he knew was that his mother had told him that he had left them before he was born. He spent a lot of his early life with his Aunt and cousin as his mom was constantly busy with work.

 Dongyul did his best in school and had some of the highest grades in his class. He always got along with other children and had many friends.

He started taking care of the house at a young age since his mom was usually never home. His aunt taught him how to cook for himself and he even would do his mother's laundry along with his own.

In high school Dongyul signed up for a foreign exchange program and spent a year in Great Britain.

After high school Dongyul pursued his dream as a rapper and begun as an underground rapper before being scouted by an agency.

He did very well in training and was picked to lead his group when they debuted.
