"Hey, are you okay?"

Presently, Damian lives in an abandoned tower with Rvul, and more recently, Amber. He keeps a small and secretive collection of personal books. As he is frail and often falls ill, Rvul takes care of Damian by bringing him medicine and herbs. The three frequently go on long treks into the northern forest to recover various ancient texts in an attempt to piece together forgotten history. As travelers, they don't stay in one place for too long and tend to camp out on their journeys.

However, they always eventually return to their home in the South. They visit Max and Bailey at Max's bookstore, Black Cat Books, to decipher and further study their findings. Damian contributes local legends, rumors, and general stories he's heard to each case.

As a young child, Damian had a somewhat self-centered and egotistical personality. However, after drastic events led to being suddenly alienated and cut off from his family, Damian became a skittish and unconfident lone wanderer. He eventually found Rvul and took him under his wing (teehee) when he was still a very young chick. Rvul had found an old scarf and Damian found an old blanket, to which they swapped with each other's as a symbolic pact of their trust. For a few years, they both lived in the North, with Rvul under his care.

Later, when they met Max, they were convinced to leave with him to live in the southern forest. They originally lived with Max, but eventually split once they found a suitable home and were able to sustain themselves as explorers.

Damian acts as an older brother to Rvul, and is deeply caring and protective of him. The two are very close, and they feel as though they are always in sync. They hardly keep secrets from each other, and understand the other very well. Damian is always there to support him and look out for him, while also making sure Rvul gets a voice. Rvul always has been a reliable, caring, and loyal best friend and brother for him.

Damian was(is?) extremely distrustful and bitter of Amber for her reckless and careless tendencies, stemming from his strong desire to protect his friends. Her growing relations with Rvul only soured his views as he felt Rvul was being constantly endangered, unexpectedly leaving Damian to be the responsible and cautious one. Meanwhile, Amber's dislike of him was solely caused by his restrictions on her "fun". Despite all this, they banter and converse surprisingly well as their personalities and energies naturally complement each other (much to Damian's dismay). Since they travel in a group, they eventually grow closer and learn to get along.

As they've known each other for so long, their relationship is nearly brotherly, and frequently banter and tease each other. The two share a deep history, which includes Damian's acceptance and encouragement of Max's bookstore. They are always ready to help, support, and collaborate with the other no matter the issue. Damian often visits his bookstore to chat and gossip, and Max (usually) enjoys his company even if he's not particularly vocal of it. Max acts as a grounding and rational figure to Damian's troubles.

Despite being quiet and nervous upon first meeting him, Bailey has grown to be a solid friend to Damian. She feels he is welcoming to talk to and joke with, which lends well to their shenanigans in teasing Max. It's easy for them to play around and spend time together. He finds her sweet and kind, though there are times they act odd.
