Nature
Typically while working, Ezekiel is a moderately polite individual that tries his best to be as respectful of others as possible. He is more often than not a guest, after all - a guest to gracious hosts that are allowing him a wonderful opportunity to attain more knowledge. He has a good sense of humor and tends to enjoy getting along with the people he works with, as he is quite social.
With friends, Ezekiel is a lot louder, with a dirty mouth to match. They're known for teasing and poking fun - though they're always quick to feel guilty whenever they end up going too far by accident. Apologies are nearly impossible for them to muster, though, so they tend to try to make it up to the other person with acts of service, instead. He loves cooking for people in particular, considering food to be a good way to get to know someone and build a connection with them.
Ezekiel is also easy to irritate or offend, however. It is difficult for people to get back on his good side after a slight. Paired with his tendency to curse, he also often speaks at a volume just a bit too high whenever he's upset - and it usually ends up leading to the pain circling around to the other person, as well.
During the killing game, Ezekiel's crabbiness was amped up by tenfold. Though he initially gave everyone a moderate amount of trust, being continuously lied to for little to no reason by different people ended up souring his outlook on the individuals, and the multitude of spats and disagreements didn't help. His unsavory side was shown quite often as tensions rose alongside his fear and stress levels; he would often say cruel things just to purposefully hurt people, just to get them to leave him alone - or he would demand others to try to comfort him, even while there were many more hurting, too.
As lives continued to be lost, Ezekiel's inner feelings towards those that had been killed often shifted from rage and contempt to regret and grief. However, his attitude towards those still alive with him was still teetering back and forth between fondness and anger.
Underneath it all, though, Ezekiel is an extremely softhearted person that loves humanity most of all. They are passionate, but weak - and they feel emotions so intensely that they wish that they couldn't feel anything at all, sometimes. He cares deeply for other people, even after he hurts them. Meek and lonely, Ezekiel just wants to be able to find a happiness that will stay.
Ultimate Cultural Anthropologist
With a prestigious title like this, Ezekiel is - of course - immensely proud of his work. Said work consists of researching the cultures of an extremely wide range of peoples all over the world - research which further consists of living in and experiencing said cultures personally along with publishing numerous papers and books on his findings.
He has a vast wealth of knowledge on humans from all sorts of places, though he has a particular fondness for learning about different communities of Asian-Americans - as he is one, himself. In fact, his first (and most famous) book is one titled Yellow Girl - an ethnography and collection of memoirs about real Asian-American people's experiences with societal misogyny and racism, and how the two things intertwine.
Ezekiel typically works alone out of convenience, as he thinks that most other anthropologists can't keep up with him and his ambition. The only person who has ever been an exception to this was Miriam Lin, his best friend.
