Nature
Upon first meeting Charlotte, most people seem to have the same impression - she's kind of got her head in the clouds. She is scatterbrained and forgetful, and is often seen as a bit of a space cadet. This usually bleeds into all of her interactions with people. She's the type that doesn't know how to read the room, and it's common for her to blurt out whatever is on her mind - regardless of whether or not it's the proper time for her to be saying such a thing. Because of this, too, sometimes the words that come out of Charlotte's mouth are a jumbled mess that doesn't make any sense until she quickly corrects herself. It makes it a bit difficult to have a smooth, evenly-paced conversation with her that's free from her impulsive tactlessness.
Charlotte is humble despite it all, though. They aren't the type to brag or show any real sign of arrogance, being somewhat modest about their life achievements - often dismissing them as "nothing special." Being out on the fields is pretty much all they know, so they don't consider it that wondrous or exciting - unlike some doe-eyed city slickers. To them, their life isn't all that interesting at all... And that's just fine with them.
Something less obvious about Charlotte, however, is their lack of empathy for others. Charlotte has always struggled with truly understanding and relating to other people, from the time they were a child to even now. They have never felt the need to say "I'm happy for you", and have never once shed any tears for anyone else. They have never mourned a human life. Knowing someone for years means nothing. No matter the ties, Charlotte does not understand anyone else.
This doesn't mean that Charlotte is a bad person, though. Their smiles and cheer are all real; they aren't the type to ever lie and be two-faced. Cunning and tricking isn't something they have any particular skill in. They genuinely do like people, and enjoy laughing and having fun with others.
Charlotte just won't smile or cry for anyone's sake but their own.
Ultimate Shepherd
Charlotte Baker is the Ultimate Shepherd, and her work is famously very traditional compared to more modern methods of shepherding. Gaining experience from a young age due to training from their own shepherd mother, Charlotte herds, tends to, feeds, and guards flocks of sheep on their farm - Monstow. Their breed of choice is the Swaledale - one native to their home of Yorkshire. The Swaledales raised by her are known for their wool and meat of excellent quality. Along with the Swaledale, Charlotte also has her own breeding program, which she has used to raise the numbers of many different rare breeds of sheep, including the Lincoln Longwool, the Cotswold, and the Oxford Down. Due to her efforts, the number of individuals of many different breeds has skyrocketed.
Monstow farm also has a number of cattle, horses, and chickens, which Charlotte also cares for equally alongside her sheep. With the help of her 7 Shetland sheepdogs, Charlotte handles all of the work on the farm as the only human to be found in all 2,000 acres surrounding her. There is now a total of around 1,300 sheep on the property.
