I'm... I'm really happy to have someone to read books with! And oh your birds are adorable.
My dearest A,
I apologize in the lateness of my reply - I find my mind drifting more and more as of late and, rather than turning to the sky, I am burying myself in my books. In what I am familiar with. You speak of what sounds like a grand discovery, and I can feel one too. One so close, and yet I hesitate to let my thoughts solidify into a space less ephemeral. I can feel the edges of this safe familiarity fraying.
This discovery of yours though, I do hope I’ll be there when the stars, no, this thing, grander than the universe, align for you. And If I’m brave enough, perhaps we’ll finally have a discovery that we can agree upon. Something indisputable. Wouldn’t that be something?
Yours, C
P.S. I’ll be sure to bring my mug the next time we meet to test this new blend, and if we’re lucky, I’ll have perfected this pastry recipe to pair it with.
Dearest C,
I find myself thinking of the spinning of the stars, the universe. How still it feels as we stand here, staring to the ever sparkling sky. I could look to the heavens and never be moved and yet... and yet I feel my self spiraling into something so deep as of late. To think about the simple comforts of life has me realizing the trajectory of the stars. Do you feel them spinning too, C?
I think I have found, though impossible as it seems, something far grander than the universe. Isn't that something? Isn't that just the most delightfully dizzying?
yours,
A
Ps. I have a new blend I wish you to try. I might have outdone myself this time.
