Ezekiel used to be a Griffian spy stationed on Nova. He was among an underground rebellion of other griffolk who wanted to let all griffolk have a chance to equally access Time Magic or otherwise remove the knowledge of Time Magic all together, in the belief that it was too dangerous of a force to be tampered with. He was smuggled there and took the form of a Novinaut for a long while, even working as a Time Officer to help facillitate the Chronoflow. However, he was eventually caught and went on trial with Shawl as his attorney. Sadly, they lost the case and Ezekiel was sentenced to a harsh punishment: a curse that forces him to lose his memories whenever he "learns a lesson", forcing him to repeat his mistakes forever. When he made it back to Griffia, he still maintained some of his Chronomancy skills, however it was under the false assumption that the time magic was a talent only the foolees possessed.
