He is has American parents, but he was born in Brittain when his parents were visiting family. He was 3 weeks too early. He live in Idaho for 6 years until his parents were forced to move back to Brittain, because of money problems. In Brittain he live in the house of his grandparents from his mothers side for 2 years, after that he live another 9 years with his parents in a small appartment, but when he was 17 his mom died of cancer. Then he lived another year with his dad in the same appartment, but had to move out when he was 18 since his dad couldn't finnance it. He then lived 6 months with his mom's parents changing jobs all the time until he met Marcel.

Vanilla met Marcel online when he was 17 (right after his mom died, he needed someone to talk to.) Marcel decided to come to Brittain after Van living with his grandparents for 2 months. They then all live togheter at Van's grandparents for 4 months. Marcel would pay rent to his grandparents. The last 2 months Evan and Marcel started dating. Marcel then bought an house with his fathers inherited money. Van though it was a too big step, but his grandparents pushed him. He now lives with Marcel and tries to get a proper job and maybe get into a design college.
