PKMN Professor Eben Caston

He's a historical pokemon researcher.

Meaning he studies pokemon that are rare or long lost to us, old writings about said pokemon, the civilizations dedicated to pokemon, hoping that some how... He might be able to bring some of it back.

Relicanth; The first rare and older pokemon he ever saw - it fascinated him to no end and actually turned his career path. He went out of his way for months to capture one for himself. Lots of trial and error since he has no personal pokemon training experience but he finally managed it.

Gible; There were a hoard of these little pokemon tearing up one of his study sites. In attempts to shoo them away some of the researchers captured these little digging demons. Eben caught his by hand, not the smartest move since they have very large teeth. But what's a guy to do with only a water pokemon?

Crustle; The first time Eben actually owned up to being a pokemon trainer with his pokemon is when he first faced this Crustle. He had found an old fossil among the beach caverns, yet every time he tried to recover it he was chased out by a large Crustle. Finally in his frustration he called out his own pokemon and successfully battled the pokemon into submission. A little shocked that he had actually knocked out the larger pokemon by himself he captured it and rushed it to the pokemon center to make sure he hadn't hurt it too bad. Even now he still gets a little wrap from the nurse joys over his panic in their pokemon center.

Cover Fossil; The fossil recovered at the beach cavern where Eben captured Crustle. Now he's doing his best to find the funding to revive the fossil into a living Tirtouga pokemon. So far not such great luck

*Pre-plot...

Eben finally gets the funding he needs for his Cover Fossil and successfully revives a Tirtouga. The pokemon is just like a baby, it's sweet and innocent and instantly takes to Eben with all it's love. He is thrilled to have such a discovery in his crew and is more determined than ever to get more fossil pokemon. Some way or another he does actually get a piece of Amber that has Aerodactyl DNA. He revives it and it's nothing like his Tirtouga, instead it's powerful, full of beastly rage, destroying everything around it. He has to some how manage to contain it or something, I dunno but it sounds cool in my head.
