This page is a work in progress
Forged in stardust, Pen was born to the noble house Vulpecula in Regnum Stellarum, The Kingdom of Stars. He was deeply loved, and from creation was taught everything his mothers could teach him about his world, magic, and combat.
But his time in his homeland was cut short, driven by curiosity and pure innocence he made a grave mistake that would be his downfall. All due to a single book, a cursed tome from the In-Between that would change the course of his life forever.
The curse sunk its dark magic into his core, and it stole from him everything he held dear. He fell to the earth as a mortal, cursed to never return home upon his death, and forced to live over and over again in different worlds. Traveling across universes with no memories of his past lives or home.
Deep within himself however, he knows the truth, and he is deeply homesick for a place he thinks does not exist. A place he cannot return without first breaking his curse, and the vicious cycle it has put him in.

First Face : The World
How does your character behave generally? What do they do if the world has a camera on them? Blunt to a fault and oblivious to social cues, Pen is typically a recluse preferring to be left alone to do whatever he pleases, be it his alchemy or reading whatever book he is currently into. He often comes off as apathetic and uncaring at first, when most the time this is not his intention, making it hard for him to form genuine friendships.
Second Face: Close ones
How does your character behave in front of friends and family? Anything different? Are they more affectionate or a plain asshole? Pen tends to still be somewhat quiet around friends and family, liking to observe rather than interacting. Almost like a cat, he simply appreciates being in the same room as the people he cares for without needing to make conversation. He is protective of those close to him, unwilling to stand by and allow unnecessary harm befall them if he could do anything to stop it.
He feels the need to be useful, wanting desperately to be needed and loved; he would much rather be used than useless.
Third Face: True Reflection
How does your character behave by themselves? What is done from the depths of their hearts, reserved for themselves alone and has never manifested in front of anybody? Do they think they are scum or do they truely think everyone around them is scum? Deeply wounded, Pen often wonders why he is so cold and uncaring despite being so lonely. He doesn’t quite understand why he is the way he is, until he remembers the curse that grips him like a vice and it all comes crashing down on him again. The curse took much from him, his home, his family, and his life over and over again.
He isolates as a way to punish himself for his mistakes, even when he doesn’t know the reason why he does so, and it only gets worse when he remembers the curse. Pen misses his mothers, his home, the life he once knew as an innocent child. But he is no longer that innocent little kit he once was, and it breaks him.

- Pen is neurospicy; ADHD, Autism and Panic Disorder.
- Pen's favorite flowers tend to be forget-me-nots or the world's equivalent.
- He loves coffee, and is very easily bribed with said drink much to his own annoyance.
- Most often found sleeping or napping in his smallest kitsune form, claiming its just more comfortable that way.
- Pen often finds it hard to connect with others, which hurts him deeply because he wants nothing more than to be included and loved.
A quote most often used when Pen explains how he was cursed. He was a curious and dumb kid, tempted by a forbidden book that would be his downfall.
He has become more cautious, as his mistake from childhood has haunted him for millennia, and will forever continue to do so. He can't even begin to imagine how his mother must feel.

Pen’s power is completely dependent on how many tails he currently possesses. More tails, more power. There are two ways he can gain more tails, either naturally through age, or completing trials that embody the virtues of his noble house.
These trials however, are unknown to him as he never got the chance to go through them with his mother before he was cursed. For now, he most often gets them spontaneously after completing selfless acts to protect those he cares about.

Abilities
An ability that every animalistic constellation possesses. The ability like a deep rooted instinct, shifting between a more human-like form and their natural animal-like state is as natural and as easy as breathing for them. Most tend to prefer to remain in their more animal-like state however, since it feels more natural to them.
Pen however does like to remain in his more human-like form when in populated areas, rarely does he hide his ears or tails unless it is dangerous for him to do so.

Abilities
Born from stardust and forged in flame, Pen's natural ability to wield the burning star within him is not surprising. Most constellations have the ability to wield an element with fire, water and ice being the most common.
His flame burns a brilliant white due to the high content of magnesium in it's makeup. The brightness of the flame is difficult to look at if not wearing proper eye protection, however Pen does not seem affected by it.
It is also known the metallic fumes from the fire can cause some irritation to the lungs and eyes, and as such, Pen has learned to warn his allies before he ignites a flame.

"Odysseus taught me to fight after I begged to learn. And oh boy did she make me learn... painfully. I will forever be grateful for that lesson."
Not related by blood, Pen still considers Odysseus his mom. She taught him to fight without his magic, battle strategies, history, and trained him personally. Odysseus may have been a General, and Pen respected her as such, but she was so much more to him as well, taking him in as her own without hesitation.
