Dallas Jewelton

Dallas is an outgoing and fun guy who tends to have no filter. He has good physical strength and most of the time he doesn't let things get to him. He's a (self proclaimed) likeable guy, charismatic, and he does have a presence in a room. He's not one to hold back what's on his mind most of the time. He likes to be loud and show off-y. Aside from these, he does has his tender moments or times where he becomes reflective, either of himself in the current or of his past. He tends not to dwell on the latter though. He's a changed guy since then.

Dallas was born in a poor American neighborhood. He never knew his parents; his dad died the same day he was born and his mom, distraught and depressed by losing her husband, thought of Dallas being an unlucky thing and refused to take care of him (and then became unable to take care of anyone because she became addicted to drugs shortly after, to cope with her loss). Dallas was raised by his older brother Jacob, who was a decade older than him. It put a lot of strain on Jacob to raise his little brother by himself most of the time but he had always wanted a younger sibling and he'll keep Dallas close to him no matter what it would take.

He wasn't an easy kid to raise; he was often fussy and didn't like listening to others. He had a lot of energy and liked playing outdoors and making random friends with other kids and even certain adults. He didn't like school at all but only went because Jacob said so. Dally might not listen to others much but he does respect Jacob. Every time Dallas sees him, he's always doing something, whether it's attempting to make food, doing the chores, doing his homework, helping Dallas out with his homework, etc., and despite all that, he still has time to play with him.

As he grew older, he became a more rebellious kid and started skipping school, following some of the bigger kids around, and getting himself into all sorts of trouble. Jacob had to scold him plenty of times but he was too soft in doing so and Dallas often disregarded him. It only got worse when Jacob went away to college and had his friend watch over Dallas since Jacob couldn't take him with him. He missed Jacob and at first he was mad that he couldn't go. He evenatally came to understand why but it made him think about how he wanted to leave the neighborhood. He came up with numerous ideas thinking about what other places he could live in instead.

When he was 13 yrs old he acted on the decision to run away. He managed to sneak onto a bus going out of town and from there was the start of his adventure. For a few years he traveled towards the west coast, finding whatever odd jobs he could do and staying in various temporary places. Since he was on his own he learned to cook for himself whenever a kitchen was available for him to use, and he often made simple things just for him to eat, but at the same time he was interested in leanring how different foods tasted together. At one point he got a dishwashing job and one of the cooks there was nice enough to show him different spices and flavors used. Later on he hitched a ride with a trucker and went towards the east coast with them and eventually he ended up in NYC.

For a while he had nowhere to go there and was just out on the streets, wandering the place. One night he just ended up in front of some apartment complex and sat there half asleep until someone came up to him and decided to be a good samaritan and take him in to his apartment. Dallas was on guard at first but the man let him have a shower and a change of clothes and something to eat. Dallas felt the need to repay him and he insists on it, saying he'll do whatever he wants to repay his kindness. In the end Dallas gets to live with the guy and in return he would help with chores and clean and do the cooking most days. Dallas stayed with him for a couple of years but they grew to have a strong bond and Dallas would be forever grateful to him.

One day Dallas gets himself mixed up in some sort of trouble that he had nothing to do with, but since the real perp fled and Dally was the only one at the scene, he got the blame for it. He ended up getting a lawyer assigned to him and here is where he meets Archer. He was wary of him at first but Archer's kind nature softened him up a bit. Eventually there was a n event that made Dallas spark a different interest in him and after numerous meet ups and flirting and ups and downs (etc.) they started dating each other.

Currently Dallas lives with Archer in Archer's apartment and he's very happy where he is. He manages to get a job (by some miracle) as a cook in a diner and although he wishes he could experiment with the dishes, he really shouldn't alter it, but he doesn't mind it because he's just happy to be getting paid. He's finally at a point where he feels content for the most part and he loves it. He's grown as a person and he feels good about it.
