Delphyne is an ancient demigob that lives in a lonely tower, on a winding ocean cliffside distantly overlooking the Sunken City. Locked within, they spend countless hours practicing dark magic and necromancy, all in the persuit of power, hoping to one day overthrow their sworn enemy the King.
Del lives in the tower with his only servant, Soren. The demigob is a complete recluse who refuses and outright threatens any visitors; they themself have not been outside in many, many years.
As a result of many decades spent in isolation, he is incredibly unsocial, standoffish, and blunt, seeing most others as beneath them/not worth their time. Instead, it prefers to spend hours losing itself to the world of books. Delphyne's study is lined floor-to-cieling in hundreds of fiction and nonfiction texts they have collected over the centuries.

delphyne feels extremely protective over soren, to a point where they are sometimes controlling over him. its been centuries since delphyne has been this close to anyone, and theyre terrified of losing him.
King Hastur
the two have a looong history full of hate and betrayal. putting an end to the king's reign is delphyne's entire life mission, and they may very well be the only one in the world capable of doing so.
