Lotus ✦

Lotus came from a hidden village of flower demons, a special demon race with flower related powers, who lived together within a lush meadow in the land of Olrichula. She was born and raised by her mother, a water lily named Nymph, and her father, a lotus named Nelumbo. Along with her younger brother, Water Lily, who Lotus nicknamed "Lilypad". Lotus spent most of her time with Water Lily when she was home, making up their own songs and dances that only they knew (which is common among flower demon siblings). But when she wasn't home, Lotus often spent time at the small school in the village with her best friends, Poppy and Rose. They've known each other since birth through their parent's, and called their trio the "Devils in Flora".  Each member had a representing animal for their personality/preferences to go with their flower.

When they were around 13 years old, shadow monsters began appearing without warning throughout the entire land, forcing the race to go into hiding after their village had been discovered by the shadows. Lotus's family was quick to flee with the other flower demons to a hidden location, but among the commotion, Water Lily had been dragged into the shadows right before his family's eyes. They had no choice but to leave him behind in the escape with heavy hearts.

While the family was safe with the other hiding flower demons, they were still devastated by their loss, especially Lotus. Who became traumatized and felt she failed her responsibilities as an older sister to protect her younger sibling, she wasn't able to fight back for her brother's life. So Lotus, along with the rest of the "Devils in Flora", decided to take lessons offered by a flower demon they knew named Amaryllis and some adults in using their flower powers for combat. So someday they could fight back against the powerful shadows. 

The "Devils in Flora" were among the many flower demons who grew stronger with improved combat skills and flower power, with Lotus' elegant dance moves and voice aiding them. Upon mastering Amaryllis' training with her and the others, Lotus was given the final training task to go out of the flower demon's hideout to seek a special blacksmith to forge a powerful weapon(s) based off her flower, to better train and defend herself against the ruling shadows someday. Upon completing the task Lotus received the Lamentful Lotus, a long lance that provided a great reach/spread attack radius, and fanning abilities to blow enemies away. 

Over the years the remaining flower demons fought back against the shadows in order to remain undiscovered in their hideout. Never knowing if her brother lived or not, she was determined enough to eliminate every single shadow if it'd bring Water Lily back. Rose and Poppy were always there by her side, being the only things helping Lotus keep her sanity. She had isolated herself from her parents, who wished their family was whole again.

Five years after the shadows attacked, a flower demon named Lavandula, who was thought to have been lost during the village's destruction, resurfaces as a strong man with a new power to travel with doors of light. With the help of the Olrichula’s leaders, he vanquished the shadow guardian that blocked the world’s Heaven’s Gate, and opened it to allow the Creator to finally take action. With the Creator’s influence over the world once again, the land was cleansed of the dark creatures and peace was restored. This allowed the flower demons to come out of hiding after all these years, and Lavandula reunited with his people and friends/family. A celebration was held that night in honor of his victory and the return of the flower demons.

The next day Lavandula spent time with his family and then individually with his friends before saying his goodbyes, explaining how he was embarking on a journey across worlds on behalf of the Creator. Later that day Lotus approaches Lavandula, she first thanks him for everything he's done, and then asks if he happens to know about any other possible survivors from the attack five years ago, primarily a water lily. Lavandula reluctantly informs her that he's not aware of any survivors from that day or that may have been in the same place he's been these past few years. Lotus isn't surprised but it still saddened that her hopes are back where they started, but thanks Lavandula anyway. She asks him that if he comes upon any more information of what happened five years ago, and the possibility of any survivors while he works on behalf of the Creator, to let her know. Lavandula agrees, and Lotus thanks him as he leaves to continue his preparations for his departure.

Later on the "Devils in Flora" regroup in their original village to plan how they're going to prevent what happened to Olrichula from ever happening again.
