Glenn is a well-meaning, vague, mess of a person. Spurred onwards into an uncertain future by a chance meeting with magic, he is a bit too kind and gullible to be working with fae as frequently as he does. Without any great way to measure the danger around him, it’s a wonder Glenn’s strong interest in the occult hasn’t landed him in any trouble. His lust for information far outweighs any self-preservation instinct. Though a little awkward, Glenn still tries to accommodate everyone’s needs when he isn’t chasing a muse. Despite being distant with many of them, he cares for his friends fiercely.
He has a part-time retail gig to keep the bills paid, but prefers the sparse freelance work he gets writing niche articles online. Even though most turn out to be for click bait headers, he often pulls all-nighters researching and perfecting each line.

History
Glenn is born to young parents as "Glenn Dominick Andrews" and lives out a humble, uneventful early life. His parents ultimately split up, but he sees them both regularly through his childhood. His mother meets and marries his stepfather. His little brother, Lucas, is born some years after that.
At six or seven, Glenn meets a creature in the woods. After the encounter, nothing is quite right again. He begins to see things that no one else seems to notice. Creatures looking unlike any animal he’s seen approach with strange riddles and promises. His grandparents understand, and offer comfort- though they don’t share their knowledge with his parents. Infrequent visits to their home become Glenn’s sanctuary from the anxieties of this new world.
Entering his teens, his appearance gradually shifts. Some things are intentional, personal: his clothing – black band tees, chokers, earrings. Other things: his eyes, his hair- strange, unexpected. Bags form under his eyes; he's not sleeping. Attempts at dyeing his hair back to normal fail; the purple sheen returns after a day or two. The apparent rebellion of dark clothes and dyed hair distance him from his more traditional family.
At school, he meets his lifelong best friend, Cole. Later, they go to college and rent an apartment together. Glenn meets Bae, a magical being. Enamored and obsessed, Glenn starts to fill his life with more and more mythical artifacts, connecting with Alan, a trader of otherworldly wares, and Allure, a wayward critter in need of a safe haven. As their ranks grow, the apartment becomes too small a setting; a move is in order.
At the passing of his grandparents near the end of his college years, he inherits their property, a house in the middle of New Jersey on an acre or so of land. Unintentionally, Glenn grows something of a halfway house for the supernatural- though something sinister lurks just outside its walls.
Design
• To most, Glenn's hair appears to be a purple tinted black. Only others with Sight see the true color. The same applies to his eye color - to most they are gray-blue; to the magically inclined, they appear turquoise.
• Glenn sported an above-the-shoulder haircut for most of his teen years, only opting to grow it longer towards the tailend of college.
• Always has a tired look about him; frequent eyebags.
Trivia
• Early riser, but late to bed; Glenn is always tired
• Family sometimes uses nickname 'Dom', probably to help Glenn feel as tough and straight as they want him to be! (he hates it)
• Glenn suffers from bouts of anxiety and depression. After adopting Allure, this is lessened due to Allure's natural diet of nebulous things like emotions, thoughts, and spirits. Frequent, intentional indulgence into Allure's positive side effects can leave Glenn flighty and forgetful, but in good spirits.
Connections
Allure
Glenn’s beloved pet; they are inseparable. Allure was saved from a dodgy situation after Glenn offered up his home. Their strong, unbreakable bond was formed over many years of slow-built trust.
Cole
Glenn's childhood friend, Cole has been and will be around forever. They aren't as close as they used to be, but would still move mountains for one another. Currently handles all the financials of the operation.
Bae
The catalyst propelling Glenn forward into the magical world. If Glenn had anything akin to a manic pixie dream girl in his life, Bae would fit the bill. A friend, an inspiration, an unhealthy fascination- Bae is all these things and more.
Alan
Glenn's main storefront for magical wares. Business partner and an old college flame, Alan can get under Glenn's skin. Luckily, he only shows up once in awhile.
