Biology and Abilities:

Vera is a hybrid of flora and fauna. They have organs and systems just like complex animal organisms, however they do have some biological mechanisms seen in plants such as being able to photosynthesize. Photosynthesis serves as a supplement energy source for Vera. If their main source of energy is scarce, which are insects, then Vera's metabolism will slow down greatly and they will enter into full photosynthesis until they achieve their next meal.

Their leafy appendages are sturdy and usually stand fanned out from Vera's neck, but these boneless appendages aren't just for display. They are somewhat prehensile, Vera can move them around and sometimes uses them to grab onto things. When startled Vera will use them to cover their head and neck and pretend to be a regular succulent.

When hunting, Vera will bury themselves halfway in the ground and leave their jaws open, releasing a sweet smelling pheromone (that smells a lot like honeysuckle) to attract bugs. Their main prey insect are wasps since they are the most attracted to the smell of the pheromone and the white and blue coloring of Vera's tongue. Vera is also immune to stings.

Vera's blood is viscous and a clear faint green color. If they receive a injury or a part of their limbs or appendages are cut off, the wound almost instantly seals itself and regenerates quickly within a few days. Their flesh is also a clear green and tastes bitter. Vera also can't feel pain (they still get sad tho).

Their saliva has anti-inflammatory properties as well as being able to reduce pain from burns to muscle aches. So if you have something painful, don't be afraid to let Vera know.
