• He has a very short tail like a bear's which is hidden under his outfits.

• The majority of his fur is on his back. His stomach is also fluffy, but the fur is shorter than the back fur.

As the Earl of Violence, Canto is a very brutal fighter. He prefers using his claws to attack, piercing even the most powerful angel's flesh and ripping them apart. He dislikes using methods of combat that don't cause a large amount of bleeding and pain. During his peak he was seen as the most terrifying to encounter demon, as angels who went against him often never made it back to heaven.

Outside of combat Canto is a very quiet, self-contained demon. He dislikes having conversations and speaks usually in just short sentences. It's not out of any lack of language, he just doesn't like words. Even other demons are often intimidated by his silent, huge presence. However under this threatening shell is a soft inside. He is quite calm and gentle around other demons, being very careful with his claws and speaking calmly but still firmly.

Rank and role

Earls of the Depths are demons that are given authority over entire specific layers of Hell itself. They only participate in human disruption in large events of battle, and specialize in leading other lower demons. There are multiple of these for the larger and higher layers, however lower smaller layers may only have 1. These demons embody what their designated layer is named after, sometimes blatantly or sometimes in more abstract ways. When Earls grow too old to do their jobs they pass the role down to a younger demon and retire.

Personal History

Canto has been the Earl of Violence for around 1000 years. He has participated in many battles with angels and humans alike. As his layer suggests, he has been very violent in his fighting methods, even more than demons usually are. He has never lost a battle because of his intimidating nature and brutality. However in recent years, he has been called into less and less battles. With being less active comes others seeing him as a sort of declining legend. Some believe he's grown soft and weak, unfit for his job.
