Born to a rich, noble family but never really enjoying it, Demeter left home at 20 to explore the world and find somewhere more rural to settle down. Her wish was soon granted as she left the caravan she was with to explore a town near to Terralai. Here she decided to settle down due to the towns quiet atmosphere and land for sale.

Demeter soon met a tolka named Lanthe and became enamored with him, as did he to her. They spent most of their time together, started dating, and then married within a few years. Her family was furious that she would marry a fisherman of no renown, but eventually came around to Lanthe. In this town, she had the ability to go after her interests and become great at them. In particular, she was a hobby gardener and professional great berinath breeder. She mainly bred berinaths for livestock herding, but a few were bred as mounts.

For 40 years they lived togther with no issues. Demeter died peacefully after succumbing to the plight of all immanu who use their fysa.
