Rex
Overview
Rex is a big guy with a big, cocky personality cranked up to 11 as a coping mechanism for a tough past. While he hails from the northern region of the supernatural realm Acerbus, he currently resides in the East, only partially by choice. There he functions as something of a right-hand man/bodyguard for the Queen of the East, Penelope, who he has to some extent grown up with. (W.I.P)

Rex, considered monstrously tall by most people around him, is so used to ducking under doors everywhere that he will automatically do so even if presented with doors or arches that are tall enough for him to walk through normally. He occasionally reverts to Norse, particularly when it comes to swearing and insults, even more so if caught by surprise or feeling particularly mean-spirited. (W.I.P)
Rex can be rather sociable, even charismatic when he wants to be. He won't let anyone particularly close to him on a personal level, but surface level, casual communication comes easy to him. (W.I.P)
For the few people Rex trusts and cares deeply for, physical signs of affection is practically a given. Rex will gladly have friends hanging out in his lap, leaning on him, hanging on him etc. While he may jokingly lean on people briefly to laugh at them for not being able to support his weight, he is generally careful about squishing loved ones. Rex will happily carry friends around, though it often comes at the 'cost' of him gloating about how they weigh nothing to him, or that it will make whatever short walk go faster. Rex rarely puts his affection and care into words, at least not directly, but won't hesitate to show it in other ways. (W.I.P)

Design notes
- Rex is intended to be an albino, which means he is mostly pale shades that easily blend together. I tend to mix in red and make his eyes more vibrant than perhaps they 'should' be to stand out more. That is also the design-oriented reason for the black markings around his eyes.
- Being half demon, Rex's ears come to a subtle point at the top. His ears are pierced, two holes in each lobe that refuse to grow shut despite seeing little use.
- Rex is mostly muscle and somewhat top-heavy. I try to draw him well-built, but not overly defined.
- The collar around his neck is locked in place by a curse. He does not wear it willingly. Trying to remove it will cause the prongs on the inside to dig into his neck.
- Rex's hair lacks melanin, but makes up for it in sheer volume. His hair naturally has some waviness to it and is quite thick. He tends to wear it in a semi-high ponytail or have it down, knots be damned. He can't make a decent hairbun to save his life and blames it on being 'too tedious'. He's far too impatient to ever braid his hair himself, but doesn't mind having someone else do it for him.
- When it comes to clothing, Rex is usually seen in tank tops and/or hoodies, with and without sleeves, and cargo pants/shorts. As for shoes, it's either heavy-duty black army boots or red high-top shoes.

Skills & abilities
Hellfire
Fire magic, specifically the demon kind. Hellfire burns hotter the more emotion is put behind it when used offensively. Being half wrath demon, fire magic comes particularly easy to Rex. His father also taught him extensively on the subject when he was younger.
Tor's Gift
Electrical magic. Inherited from his mother, and a common elemental magic in the Acerban North. Those with Norse roots tend to consider it an ancient gift from Tor himself. A bit tricky to get the hang of, and a serious challenge to master. Rex knows how to use it effectively enough in combat, but he's still far from truly mastering the element.
Hellfury tail
Wrath demons, known as Hellfuries in Acerbus, posess a long, powerful tail with some form of bladed weapon emerging on the end. This is often inherited by half-breeds, and Rex is no exception. While long and unwieldy in most indoor settings, it can mercifully be retracted like other demon tails. Rex's tail is a particularly menacing edition, simply due to the tail scaling with him and being longer than most full-breed tails. He has great range and great experience with using his tail, and will not hesitate to use it when lethal force may be applied. Rex occasionally uses it as a tool as well. His tailblade is quite reminiscent of a bearded axe.

Aaron and Rex did not hit it off particularly well on the starting line. That is, Rex didn't like Aaron much in the start, but he warmed up to the incubus eventually. These days they are quite good friends.

Childhood bestfriends, some might say soulmates, that were rather tragically torn apart at a time where they would have needed eachother the most. After much strife and an unfortunate amnesia on Garren's part, Rex is left the only one with memories of what once was. Once they meet again, Rex finds himself having to start over. However bitter, it is infinitely preferrable to the alternative of letting Garren go entirely. Something deep down in the repressed depths of Garren's mind tells him the giant is trustworthy, so perhaps there is a flicker of hope ...
