Aicha is a fairly calm and indifferent individual. Not necessarily because they're disinterested in most things but just because they're just naturally not that high energy. They're very responsible though and always wise with their resources or approaches to situations. This can make them a good mom friend at times, keeping others out of trouble, though def more of a serious mom. They're also fairly independent and usually are off doing their own thing, they don't mind company though and welcomes it warmly whenever presented. They're also extremely intelligent and always eager to learn new things and take the time to fully understand something. This makes them a really good person to talk with since their willingness to learn and understand results in them being less judgemental and criticizing on top of just being thirsty for knowledge.

Trivia

  • Its known that Aicha loves to cook but they're specifically known for making more unique and fun dishes that aren't your every day common meals.
  • Their favorite dishes to make are ones that are savory but still include the use of fruit in the recipe.
  • Aicha volunteers at the library and occasionally tutors there as well.
  • Along with volunteering at the library, when they have some more extra time on their hands they like to volunteer at soup kitchens or work on clothing and blankets to take to homeless shelters and organizations alike. This also includes making clothes for other trans kids and individuals.
  • Their study in their house is more of a small library. They still obviously use it as a study but they've been working hard on a book collection that fills up a decent bit of one wall so far. They're in need of new shelves to keep going though.

Backstory

CHILDHOOD

Aicha was born and raised by a rather wealthy couple, their father who was a successful business man and their mother who worked from home most of the time as a history and foreign language tutor. They weren't wealthy enough to be considered rich but still very well off, and so Aicha grew up very spoiled with just about whatever they asked for, they were the two's only child on top of it so there was no one else it had to be shared amongst. However their parents still valued working towards goals and had other good morals they held on to that they were sure to teach and pass on to Aicha so that while spoiled, they wouldn't grow up to be a brat.

Once they were old enough to do certain things themself they were required to do just that and not have others do it for them. At about 10 years old this is when they started taking up cooking because of that reasoning! This was still a bit earlier than Aicha's parents would have expected from them, but Aicha was a very enthusiastic child when it came to learning new things and seemed really passionate about the idea so they of course didn't protest and encouraged their new interest in cooking. Right from the beggining they were naturally skilled at it as well and it wasn't long before one night a week Aicha was put in charge of dinner. It was a weekly tradition they absolutely adored, especially after recieving all the genuine compliments from their parents that always followed.

Their mom also taught them some basic sewing to which they expanded on their own later. Aicha loved the idea of being able to make your own food and clothing by your own hands. Sure they could just ask for something or have it ordered almost on demand but they enjoyed the satisfaction of completing something you put time, effort, and feeling into and then seeing others enjoy it or even be able to enjoy over and over again yourself knowing you made it.

With their mom being a tutor reading and studying was another thing Aicha took a particular interest in, combined with the fact that again they were just eager to learn anything they could. They were very smart as a kid and were popular among teachers for being at the top of the class without even trying. They were a sponge to knowledge and most could find them reading during breaks instead of playing with the other kids. Their love for reading and learning took a small toll on their social skills but if it weren't for a select few students who still made an effort to interact with Aicha or even just sit and read or study with them they would have been a lot worse off. Being so smart too, the other kids often approached Aicha for help on assignments and projects which Aicha was more than happy to do. They may not have went out of their way to make friends but when company came to them they welcomed it. When you took the chance to approach Aicha they were quiet but kind so they still ended up being rather popular with the kids.

ADOLESCENCE

When high school came around things were still mostly the same. They were still at the top of their classes, teachers still loved them, and they were still just as popular with the other kids who took the time to approach them or ask for help. However there was one thing that started to change, and that was Aicha themself. They were a bit of a late bloomer and only started hitting puberty sometime around their freshman year. Sure they had learned in the past about the changes your body went through at that one point in your life, but Aicha was also one of, if not the only, taur in any of their classes. So when everyone else went through said changes and Aicha didn't, they thought maybe it just wasn't like that for their species. Usually this would have been something Aicha may have researched and looked up but the idea of not having to deal with what all the other girls had to deal with sounded pretty okay to them, so they mistakenly just turned a blind eye to looking further into the matter.

That being said when these changes finally did start, Aicha did not take them well at all. They became really insecure about their body image and would even start to pick and scratch at themself. It was bad enough that they'd leave marks and sometimes break skin but thankfully at the least it wasn't something that became really hard to hide or was obvious. This though unfortunately wasn't the only struggle they were faced with at this time. All the girls they hung out around would talk about nothing but boys and their crushes, none of which ever really made sense to Aicha for they just didn't understand what the other girls were feeling. Around the second half of sophmore year they did try out dating a few of the boys that had confessed to them to see if maybe actually getting into a relationship was what it took to feel what they were feeling, but none of them proved to be so. In fact being in those relationships only made them more uncomfortable and feel out of place in the matter. Over the summer their last relationship even tried to further his advances which only freaked Aicha out more. Partly still because of the emotional element of it that they just didn't understand or was comfortable with, and other part since they had not gotten over their insecurity over their body and its changes yet so having another person so close to it freaked them out.

The two obviously broke up after that, thankfully not on particularly bad terms. It was awkward and Aicha felt like absolute garabage over it sure, but the guy was understanding enough to realize that Aicha was not ready or uncomfortable with being in a relationship so he just accepted it for what it was and let them both move on. Even though it had ended better than their other relationships, Aicha still felt the worse over this one perhaps BECAUSE it ended so well. They didn't know why even after they were with such a nice guy, after all the other not so great ones before and even hearing what the other girls had dealt with, that they still just couldn't feel that same feeling or attatchment everyone else always talked about and it made them feel as if maybe something was wrong with them.

So finally it was at this breaking point they turned to research after having avoided it for so long. It didn't take them very long to find the infortmation they needed once they figured out what even to search to get to that point. All the new terms and definitions may have frightened others but Aicha still never grew out of wanting to learn so they read up on everything they could on the subject of gender and sexuality until they had come to the conclusion that the definitions for being aromantic, asexual, and agender all seemed to fit really well with what they were experiencing. They had rolled over some other possibilities in their head for a while but in the end that's the point they had reached. Then came the next harder part, how to express that to others.

All these things Aicha had read deeply into and learned to understand for at least a month or two, but since it was new information to them at the time it was going to be new information for others too. For them, new information that they might not be as willing to want to read as in depth as Aicha did. They figured if anyone were to be more open minded though it would be their fellow classmates using the mindset that younger generations in general are more adaptable and willing to learn, hence why you even attend school while you're younger. So they told a few they were closest with first, yeah that really didn't go well at all. Well, it didn't go AWFUL but instantly their attitude changed to as if they were suddenly speaking with some kind of alien. It really hurt them but they didn't let it stop them yet. After a few days they tried another student or two, close to the same response. They tried one last time, and this time they got laughed at immediately for "believing that stuff". From then on they didn't have to try telling anyone else, they already knew. Word and gossip had spread fast and now barely anyone came to Aicha for help with their assignments anymore, and even fewer interacted with them at all. When they'd walk by people would go quiet or lower their tone to a whisper and lean in close together so that Aicha knew suddenly the topic was them. Books had always been more of their friend anyways, but what really brought them down was that even some of the teachers had begun to treat Aicha differently. This became another breaking point to them.

All this time they still hadn't approached their parents about any of this, seeing how everyone else reacted they were absolutely terrified that their parents would react the exact same if not worse and they really couldn't handle that if such were the case. But they couldn't hide how hurt and lost they felt forever, and while they wished they could have pretended so, their mother was the one who actually broke that silence before Aicha had to work on building the courage to come to them first.

One night when it was Aicha's turn to cook dinner their mother watched them sluggishly eat their dinner and as per the last few weeks didn't pay much mind to the compliments the two gave them. So she finally asked them if they were okay, previously waiting for them to tell her when they were ready but she came to the realization that time might never come and Aicha clearly needed to say what was on their mind sooner rather than later.

That question turned into a breakdown, which lead to an attempt to calm them down enough to speak, to a terrified spill of words, an AGONIZING several minutes of silence, and then... a very unexpected reaction. Their mother's attitude changed, but rather than to confusion or fear or whatever else it was they got from initially telling people at school, she softened and turned to worry for her child. Admitedly she didn't understand what Aicha meant by being ace and agender and all that but if it had them so stressed and this upset over it she wanted to be able to understand, after all Aicha had to get it from somewhere. Their dad was even more lost during this whole thing but he trusted his wife to handle everything and after a while Aicha had sat and educated their mom, who then did her best to educate their dad, and while they may have still been a bit clumsy about it they still accepted Aicha and were supportive and happy for them for finding themself when it was this difficult all on their own.

By this time it was now senior year. Aicha brought up the new pronouns they wanted to go by and even asked about some steps to transition to get them to a point where they felt more comfortable with their body along with their identity as a whole, and their parents were more than willing to help them get there. Aicha's parents even made the attempt to sit down with some teachers and members of the school to talk with them in hopes Aicha could feel more comfortable around their classmates and teachers again. It worked a little bit but things were still really uncomfortable and awkward for the remainder of that year. Thankfully that was their last and once graduation was over Aicha would then have the chance to start over clean, free from those they had grown up with and couldn't accept Aicha fully.

PRESENT DAY

After graduation Aicha had gotten into their dream college and moved into a small house they saved up for themself just off of campus where they double major in History and Foreign Language/Literature. They also are minoring in Gender Studies more for their own interest and also to further understand both themself and others in the LGBT+ community or just in general around them. They started college fresh and entirely as themself and thankfully they were accepted just as they were too! They haven't made many friends there yet but this time reason being Aicha's preference of books over people and not that anyone had a problem with who they were. The people there just weren't the same kind to approach Aicha anyways like they did back in elementary and middle school. All in all though their new life is now very comfortable and Aicha enjoys it a lot, especially now that they're at peace with those around them and more importantly, themself.

Aicha ran into her one day, or rather she ran into them, while Aicha had been out shopping. She's got a lot of energ and can be a bit of a handful sometimes but they do enjoy her company. Aicha especially likes cooking for her, she doesn't really get to enjoy a lot of nice things so they try and treat her to what they can.
